The prep to lower my car and put new wheels on has begun!

Here is my list:

Roll fenders *Scheduled for Monday, 6/29, @ 6pm
Mount Tires... This should take but minutes if I can find a shop I can trust to do it!
Relocate fender harness DONE!
Install Coilovers * Still waiting on these; hope they don't give me too much trouble!
Get my downpipe cut or rehung so it doesn't sit low. *No need to be done anymore!

Relocated my fender harness last night. I took the instructions on how to do it from this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...elocation.html

It was extremely helpful and gave me a pretty good idea of what I needed to do. This "mod" took some time, but was overall not very difficult. I, as I'm sure others had, had to do things a little different'y but overall, easy!

Figured I'd get this out of the way before it can possible become an issue, even though I don't intend on going that low.

Crappy cellphone picture, but this is where it used to be!

Harness coming through the side of the fender near the windshield washer fluid reservoir. The reason you see the other line there is because the one is the air hose for my train horns . So mine will look more cluttered until I can figure out a way to disguise it better.

Annnd coming back through on the other side, still using the existing hardware. I wish I knew why my fender is black and white?

Easy as that! Tires come in today!

Finally, some new wheels, coilovers and of course new tires!

On Monday, (6/30) I came home to this!

Rear wheels and coilovers showed up.

Tuesday (7/1) my front wheels, new lugs, valve stems and 5mm spacers showed up. I had to get the spacers because the day after I made my wheel order, I got a call from the company telling me they didn't have my front wheels in the offset I wanted in stock, so I went up a bit and got the tiny spacers to compensate. However, in the pictures, I didn't end up using them. Still might though!

Getting my dogs approval:

The same day I also put all my coilovers on. Starting to wonder why I never bought these a long time a go. Car looked awesome with the wheels I had and especially lowered. Still was excited to get my new wheels on!

The next day, 7/2, I got my fenders rolled all the way to make room for my new wheels and tires

And finally, on 7/3 I took my wheels and tires to a very reputable shop around here to get mounted. Here they are ready to go on the car!

Annnnnd for the grand finale, everything mounted up.

I'm pretty proud of myself to be able to get all of this installed and getting it to look the way I wanted. Still can't believe this car is mine when I look back at it.

It has come a long way over the last few months that have REALLY changed it's appearance. 97+ sides, tint, coilovers, wheels... Amazing what just those few things can do for a car.

My next updates might not be for some time, might do a few things here and there... but next I'd like to get parts together for my CD009 (350z trans) trans swap. That way I can get a solid standalone to follow and start to make some REAL power.

Great transformation deputy. It's amazing how much a drop and new wheels can do to the appearance of a car, especially.

Not much has gone down with my car in recent months... I put it away very early this year to get it ready for some BIG changes.

Currently in the works and working hard to build my funds to reach my budget goal for my build. At first my goal was $5,000 to buy all of my parts.. Then it quickly jumped to $10,000 to include parts, tune and transmission... of course in which I got a little more real and added a few things in, so my current goal is $11,600. I've had my parts list since September (inception of goal) and to this date (12/10/2014) I am sitting at near 50% of my goal. Not bad for just 2 months of making some moves!

In the works:
Bigger turbo
Bigger injectors
6 speed
Heaps of goodies
700hp+ ?

Unfortunately, this is how my car sits now... Extremely ugly on stock wheels (for storage) and basically looks like it's gone backwards lol

Chipped away a few big items on the build list/invoice today. Have my reasons for not buying it all, but I will say all will be bought very soon along with other goodies not listed!

Everything is getting test fitted and then off to get ceramic coated!

Parts are coming in!! Only a matter of time until the turbo and wastegate come in and things can get mocked up. Then it's off to ceramic coating!!

Suppose I need to think about going back to dual exhaust or staying single?

congrats man. beautiful build and beautiful sc. I wish mine looked half as nice. I am trying hard to get a paint job on mine. I have a build thread in progress, project super cool and slow sc. my current goal is fix my nasty crash, go r154, I already have trans, just need bell housing and a couple other things, then paint my whole car. hopefully then I can rebuild my interior as well as fix oil leaks and coolant leaks. all while making minimum wage. lol.
good luck with yours. so far it seems you have a really good build.
