Hi! Just to satsfy my curiousity, could you verify that it is truly a UCF31 by looking at he black VIN sticker on the driver's door frame?
My understanding is that the UCF31 code is not used on US-market cars (all US LS430s are .UCF30).
Thanks very much!
We're you referriNg to my car or dsrxgoompa's car? I always thought that after the m/c was considered a 31. But I've also heard that u/l's were 31's and non u/l's were 30's. This is something that I always wondered. Ill try to check next time we see each other or maybe if he's reading this he can chime in
Edit: he just said that his said 30 as well. Which throws both of my theories out the door. What is a true ucf31 then?
so this weekend, my buddy and fellow member on here that goes by the handle : dsrxgoompa installed coilovers on his ucf31. it was our first time tackling this job on this chassis car, the job went smoothly, finished in about 3 hours.
What size tires is he runing? Do they rub at all?
Did you roll, shave, or modify your fenders or quater panels?
How is your alignment? did you get any different arms or anything to get the alignment back in spec?
Looks good!

1)Not sure about the tire size, but it's skinnier than stock profile
2) I believe it would only rub at full lock with a little speed
3) no fender mods
4) alignment isn't done yet, Since he plans on raising back up an inch

you probably are right... i checked mine and its UCF 30. sorry were still noobs at this lexus stuff lol
I swore mines said 31? But i'll double check it once i get back to my car after work.
My Impression the 31 is the MC version the 04-06 models and the 30's are the 01-03 models.

yeah check! its hella bugging me, i want to know what a true ucf31 is.
Chrispy is correct.
From all the data I have been able to gather, there are no LS430s for the US market that are true UCF31 (and so marked on the VIN plate).
Other markets distinguish the factory air suspension models (similar to the UL in the US - but perhaps with a different feature set)) by the UCF31 code.
I think this issue is now pretty well resolved, but a counter example would be very interesting.
Thanks to all who checked.
