Default My 93 SC400 Project

Hello Folks,

I'd thought a post up a thread on my 93 SC400 im working on. It's a DWP with the tan/brown interior. I bought this car off my best friend to be used as a commuter car for my wife. I am actually continuing his project because I was lucky enough to get a whole mess of parts that came with the car. It's currently just lowered with rims, exhaust, and some minor mods for now. I plan to get the car kitted and painted within a couple of weeks so I will post progress on it. I hope my thread and pics help any others out there as Club Lexus has definately gave me alot of info!

Thanks! Too bad I had to replace them. My rear wheel was cracked in a couple of places. I really miss the gold wheels on white look.

Looks good man, shame about those wheels. It did compliment well! Hopefully you can get it where you want it pretty soon. Is that your black GS too?

Yah it's a shame. The setup was really nice. They were Linea Corse Lemans(bbs lm reps) 19x10 +22 in the rear and 19x8.5 +15 in the front. The sad thing is the place where the rims were bought from wouldn't sell me the one rim I need. To make thing worse is I had bought two sets of rims from this place and I also recommended my friends and relatives to this place. So I'd say this company has sold at least 10 sets of wheels based on my reference. I won't say their name but they are well known in the bay area and on are these forums. I actually already bought and mounted some hyper silver LM chinese knock offs for now. There not as nice as the Linea Corse but they will do until I get some new Varrstoens that are coming out. As for the GS in the back its is my family car. It's a 98 GS400 on black Varrstoens(TE37 reps). It's just lowered and has a Tanabe dual exhaust. I'm saving up for an air ride system before I do anything else cause my driveway is too steep. I guess though it's last on my list cause I also have a 87 Mazda rx7 Turbo II that is my baby. Too many projects and not enough money lols!

@1JZPWRD, I actually like the look of the 97 bumper with a lip a little better then my current year. It also helps cause I got a full AC replica that came with the car. I understand you though, I am not gonna kit my mazda RX7 when I repaint it. I like the look of the stock bumper with maybe a lip as well. As for an update, here is a pic of the front bumper and rear lip. It is an AIT Racing replica of the Auto Couture kit. I'll post more pictures of the AIT side skirts and the new rear wing I'm getting put on as well. I haven't fully decided on the color of the car yet. I'm leaning towards keeping it DWP or going Imola Red off the BMW M3. I've also heard the white pearl off the IS looks pretty good as well. What do you guys think? Any, other suggestions? Thanks to you guys as well for the suggestions about the 95 kit setups!

Thats not a complete AC rep, only the front bumper is a rep. That rear Looks like a Vertex rep, I believe your sides are also going to be a Vertex rep

IMO there are lots of better rims, I would love to have a 97 front bumper on my 93 white SC4. I f I were goin to repaint my car it would be a bluish-gray. Good news is the 93 has strong rods and few drivability problems. Hows your gauge cluster lighting. A reworked cluster does wonders.

Nothing wrong with either bumper, I just like the other better. Its your car, and thats all that matter man.

The Imola red is just beautiful or even the Alpine white. Both are great colors, but dont forget the Renassaince Red by Lexus.
