Thanks man, that's one hell of a deal. Just ordered 6. Normally it would be $15 for 1. Got 6 for $30 shipped.

No problem. One last thing about them lq9s how do you plan to get tac signal hooked up sense the Tac signal comes from the ignitor? Could you just leave the ignitor hooked up? btw what ecu are you on?

From Ali SC3

aem v1 can output its own tach signal via one of the extra outputs, just a few clicks in the software and move the tach wire over to that pin.

I am running AEM EMS V1

Well, tried the LQ9 packs. And they do not fit under the manifold. I would need a 3/4" spacer between the upper n lower manifold to possibly make them work.

So now I am thinking if I should do the intake manifold swap, or try and get a spacer made and see if it gives me enough clearance.

I think I would want the spacer as it would be less work.

Also, I wonder if I could get the vvti coil packs to work? Is there a way to test them and make sure they are outputting 100%?

I need suggestions...

I've also heard of people running 1ZZ coilpacks with the same if not better results then the LQ9's.

Check this out, some info on 1ZZ Coils

http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...ket-coil-packs

Also got a buddy local to me that is running 1ZZ coils on ProEFI 128 on his 1JZ making 700+ to the wheels on stock head, & block.

Talk to him, he is pretty knowledgeable with the whole setup.

I talked to him. He makes spacers for $100. I told him I would need a 3/4" spacer. I want to try another set of VVTI coil packs before I go with the spacer.

I am almost sure now that the vvti packs I have are no good, which sucks since I had bought them off someone on the forum. I ordered another set off of a JDM VVTI motor on ebay. I will try these out and see what happens. I saw another SC300 that was running the VVTI coil packs at 33 psi 834whp. That's right around where I will be, and so I don't see why I am having an issue unless the coil packs are bad.

If I have to spend anymore money, I will just get the spacer I need and mojo harness for the LQ9 packs.

So I might have some brand new AC Delco LQ9 packs for sale, if I can get the VVTI packs working properly.

I ordered a HKS DLI for a supra to boost the coil pack output. It's a new unit, which I was lucky to find.

I had the exact same issue with these vvti coil packs as I did with the other set of vvti packs I had before. So the issue isn't the packs. It must be not enough power. So I am gonna boost them with the DLI and see if that fixes it. I don't want to do the LQ9 because of the work I would have to do. I will probably sell them off.

I have the same issue with the vvti coils. Anything about 22psi it starts to break up and cars starts to buck a little. Waiting for the aem coils to come in and hopefully that fixes the issue.

I would try an put those lq9s in rather than mess with a DLI.. a bit more work but much better in the long run. specially when your in the 800hp range

Installed the DLI and it helped. I am able to hit the 28psi now, but it's not enough. So it looks like LQ9 conversion is next. Going to order the harness from Mojo tomorrow and the spacer from Rosario Racing.

So if the spacer is good enough, I will have 2 sets of VVTi coil packs and an essentially new HKS DLI for a Supra for sale.
