Update:

Got around to messing with the pumps. Had little wiring to do. The car already has 10 gauge wired to the relay. However, these pumps follow too much as of right now. Based fuel pressure is at 4 bar instead of 3, and the fuel regulator can't be adjusted down. So I am gonna have to stage the pumps in order to fix this. So gonna have to run a wire from the AEM to trigger the second pump, and also figure out the relay situation for triggering it as well.

The 485 pump isn't any longer than the 255, it just has a bigger bottom...

Walbro 255 vs 485

Are you going to put anything between to the two pumps?

I am just following what Elite Performance did. Soldered and heat shrank the wires and terminals. I can't fit anything inbetween the pumps and fit it into the tank. Very tight fit.

Update:

So the pumps have been in for a while, everything seems to be staying sealed. So that's good. Eugene picked the car up this morning to get tuned with Cam, since I can't go myself for the next few weeks. Cam will have to adjust the fuel map for the bigger pumps, and account for the second pump that is set to turn on later in boost. He should also be setting up my anti-lag too. Hoping for some good things, can't wait to hear what's happening.

Are your pumps staged or both on at the same time?

Staged pumps. One is on constantly, and the other is triggered by the AEM.

They are texting me the dyno numbers right now. Let's just say my goal has been met.

Nice .. congrats ! I was just wondering , looks to me the catch can you have is same as what 97-sc300 and I have . We got ours powder coated . Looks like it is better looking when polished. Does that mean I can get the powder coat removed and get it polished ?

Thanks everyone. Took Twinscrewd for a run, and yeah, it pulls for days. My front brakes are done already. The front wheels are bent from the previous owner and so my rotors got warped again. So I need to get replacement front wheels, and then replace the front brakes. I may go to Discount Tire and have them check the front wheels without the tires to see if it is bent?

Either way, BeatZ28 (truestreetcars forum) wants to run me, that's fine with me. I have get this brake issue fixed first, because I don't want to haul *** into a minivan...

Base fuel pressure was 43.5. I wasn't there for the tune, but I will find out the injector duty cycle
