ChefTank 1JZ sc300 Build and questions
scored it cheap but the interior is/was chewed up
She already had a "little" and i mean VERY little work done to her. Misimoto front mount, 2.5" hard pipes, Tial Q BOV and a walbro 255.
but was still on the stock twins and felt slugish. i replaced the factory tails with the OEM 1st gen tails (i like them)
and got some care packages
taking apart and engine that has never come apart before is not fun. i'm pretty sure the manifold was rusted on.
come to find out, the exhaust side wheel on the firewall side turbo was sheered off... clean at the shaft! o'well. i got it cheap.
i have recently started bolting it together.
and noticed i had a fitment issue. i like haveing a hood so i had to sort it out. I am also a holset fanboy so changing turbos wasn't an option.
my holset is a 7blade HX35 which is a 60# compressor iirc, on my 2.4 inline 4 i would see 12psi at 2900rpm
i rebuilt it myself and had it balanced at a local semi shop.
my ultimate goal is a sub 10 second car that i can drive on the street, but it will be 3-4 motnhs before i can get a BL or titan trans so i am making some adjustments to run the hx35. when i get the trans i'll be running an hx55 or hx60 at 0psi ish so heres what i did to make it work.
t4 to t3 twin scroll
4 bolt to vband for the downpipe
other than wiring my megasquirt and installing my guages and trans cooler, i should have it running by wednesday (merry christmas to me). $2200 trans included i am hoping to have a $8k sub 10sec car (slicks and diamond wheels are expensive)
lmk what you guys think.

thanks fella's. Now for the question parts:
1) any pin diagrahm for the 1jz ECU? i have my harness but want to soldier everything right the first time to run my megasquirt as a standalone.
2) anyone have a vac line diagraham?
*helpful info: DM 1jz manifold is a direct fit using the OEM exhaust manifold studs from a 2001 tundra. You only need two for the lower front studs, fits like a glove.

closer
had to uhhh convince these collant lines they didnt want to be there to clear the downpipe
gigantic WGA is installed and dump tube routed (atmosphere dump)
this setup would only work if i didn't want a hood... so i gotta change it
note to self: flip flops were not a good idea.
i have the finished pic but havent put it on photo bucket. now i just need the guages and megasquirt... then... and then... and then... haha

Search for Devin Leblanc I believe, he does amazing things with valve bodies for cheap. Makes the Trans withstand lots of power compared to a stock valve body.
