a few holset facts:
1) i see boost at 2200rpm
2) i can see 30psi by 3100rpm
3) sounds like a 747
4) the powerband (in boost) is so linear and smooth! not violent at all
i forgot to run the vac lines to run WGA pressure only. it wasn't supposed to boost past 12psi so it hit the fail safe (20psi) and cut.
its a simple fix, that i'll do this weekend.
i'm just excited i can drive it around

are you running stock map sensor? i dont undestand how you can hit 30 psi before fuel cut hits...fuel cut comes in at 18 psi. and you must've been running dangerously lean too

wow 30psi should have melted the ***** outta those pistons without fuel supporting it. hope you had a good tune and some massive injectors

I didn't hit 30psi. I was stating based (loosely ) on how fast it hit 20 psi as my post said, that 30psi could be achieved by 3100rpm.
Yes, 30psi pull would have done damage. 20psi pull was risking considering I'm not tuned for it (right now).
That being said, most engines are suprisingly resilient. I have made an entire 1/4 pass on a 2.4 with a failed meth pump... Looking at the datalog of the pull my a/f was 13.2-13.8... A lot could have happened, but I drove that car the 90 miles home that night.
I don't reccomend it, but I am saying a blip won't "insta melt" pistons, fry rings, and sacrifice virgins.
There is nothing magical under my hood I have my buddy sending me his video which stays on the cluster better.
