I'm doing something along the same lines, except a VVTI 1JZ and a GTX3582R. Will eventually move to a 4L80E, unless 550whp auto isn't exciting... Then I'll just go R154. But regardless I also am looking for 10-11's out of something that gets 25 mpg in city with AC and decent creature comforts

a solid nap delayed me today hahaha

your questions:

power goal? whatever it takes to run 9.99 in the 1/4. i'm not really a numbers guy but basic calculations says i should be able to do it gutted with 620-630whp (based on suspension and tire setup)

Holset: its a 12cm2 hotside, kinda big but DSM 2 liter guys using these see 12psi by 3400rpm, i can live with that. i also intend to run it out around 8k redline the overlap and lope i have seen (on paper) show it "should" support it to around 7850rpm... but real world and paper world are different.

ok, back to progress. we left off with me hating the charge pipe, sooooo she had to change. Sans the flip flop here is what i came up with.

the tial Q BOV makes a lovely noise.

fixed, no i can put my intake on AND close the hood... haha

waiting on the vband for the downpipe (damn gifts slowing the mail down) haha.

also gonna run the one working fan (cause one is ****) to a switch into the cab. that way i can run it with the car off while in the staging lanes.

just ordered a screw type o2 housing 3wire to replace the front o2 housing with the 6' cord that wont reach my downpipe

chef, you have those lines, that exhaust way to close to each other. and the fact that it's not wrapped. i been down that road. you should pick up this hotside to reduce that lag.

i have this on my holset (h1c). an older hx35 and spool is instant.

It's not all buttoned up yet. The lines will be tied an insulated.

12cm2 is roughly .89a/r. In order to make the power I need to make (for now) through the turd atx, I am sacrificing 600ish rpm spool for more peak power and will tune in a solid powerband to keep it longer. I say the diff in spool is only 600rpm because its setup twin scroll which helps a little.

Once the big boy atx goes in she is gonna run on a 7 blade hx55 with a 14cm2. If lag is bad off the line with an aggressive stall I might run a small spray to help with spool or a VGT valve to manage flow.

All depends on how long it takes me to get a built ATX. But if I sell the turbo it will be as a whole.

I just realized the other guy was taking about wrapping the downpipe... That's a really good idea, to be honest I feel a little dumb for not thinking of it earlier.

rather than wrapping the downpipe, why dont you just ceramic coat it?? its a little more expensive but way worth it if you ask me. when you bought the holset did you buy it with a 12 cm on there or did you have to find one like me? if you knw anyone or knw of anywhere that has one im looking

came with a 16cm2, i found a 9cm2 but sold it to a friend in the FWD srt4 world who needed more than i. Then i found a 12cm2 on a local CL listing.

join a dodge cummings forum and wait. My friend scored a minty fresh 8 blade hx35 for $200 shipped with only like 5k miles on it.

i dont like the color either, but beggers cant be choosers. i have a little fun with theme ides though. i am thinking about grabbing some 7 series bmw wheels and powder coating them garnet, and instead of pinstripes, run a big florida state spear down the side.
