Default Big slow drift racer - GS300 build thread

Hey guys,

My name is Billy Freed from Freed Engineering in Maryland. I haven't built a car from scratch in a few years and I've never made a build thread, so this is my first.

I was originally going to build another S13 240 but I found a deal on a GS300 that I bought just because. My great friends have convinced me to go ahead and pull the trigger. We work on a lot of pretty sweet GS3s and GS4s so we have a lot of experience with them already.

Plans are:

Small billet turbo 2JZ
Possibly E85
Haven't decided between built R154 or V160
Electromotive standalone
Bunch of cool racecar stuff
Not going to be some crazy $200k build, but still pretty cool to thrash around in

It'll probably be a pretty slow build as I don't have too much time to work on it but I plan to be driving middle of next season.

When I first picked it up.

Barfed out some Vip junk

Then I did this....

The brain

I've got a 2JZ mostly put together I'll get some pics of. Gonna do all powdercoated bits and stuff so I'll keep the pics coming when I can.

Feel free to add any input or advice. Thanks guys!!

-- Also, need to figure out what color to paint the Engine bay. Any ideas? Not into white or black.........

Looks like a nice project. Is the interior going to remain stripped down?

Not 100% on my plan for the interior. Wanna get buckets in the front and maybe when I do the cage in the future I'll do buckets and harnesses in the back aswell.

Thumbs up for another s13 owner! Had to sell both of mine to buy my gs, you made the right choice (; Assuming you plan on tracking or drifting this?
Subscribed, this should be good.
