Apologies again for the terrible pictures. Going to try a new camera soon.
The carpet turned out ok. I'm thinking of respraying it dark brown to match the new colour of the seats. I've heard of a product called Simply Spray but have no idea of it's effectiveness nor how it will turn out.

the closest thing we have to Namibia in USA is southern Arizona (i.e. Phoenix, Tucson)

I used to fix A/C systems there and window tinting there is not for fun or to be cool, it is imperative or you won't ever get cooled off in the summer!

Got everything back from the upholsterer and re-installed it in the car. Took two days of blood sweat and tears. Results speak for themselves though.

Gear **** looks kak (******) though. I will have to replace that for sure. Took the Beast for a spin on the highway. She is refusing to idle and starts with difficulty. I will have to either get the battery charged or replaced if it proves to be bad.
One thing though, I can see why people love these cars. My love-hate relationship with it is mostly love. These are sweet rides.

That diamond quilt pattern looks great in there. I love the chocolate brown color, however I'm not loving how it contrasts with the others as it sits now. Are you planning on changing the other colors to blend a little more? In any case it still looks good and is worlds better than it was. On another note, my Mom is Dutch Indo and was born in Holland. I sure wish she taught me how to speak and write Dutch.

I actually like the contrast, though I think the door panels need some more of the dark leather to really make them fit. Perhaps if the top panel was recovered in the same leather?

Amazing how well cars clean up when you put a little work into them, eh? It's looking good!

+1. I'm also liking the contrast and the diamond pattern.
