That's a good description. I have some Union welders from where I work teaching me how to mig and tig. They had a similar general breakdown of it. Btw real nice setup!!

Where did you send the BW turbo to get the modified larger wheel

What does it take to turn the s366 into a 71mm or 73mm compressor wheel

I go to Apex Performance Turbo's that is local to me and also a buddy of mine. He does great work at a reasonable price. I believe he bored out and re sleeves the compressor housing to make the 71mm fit. Give him call and he will give your break down.

Everything is mostly all back on the car and ready to run... I just need to make the 5.5" intake pipe for the turbo and fix the midpipe.. Somewhere along the lines of modifying the down pipe, things got a little tweaked.

Instead of using a metal gasket, i used ultra copper gasket maker to seal up the manifold. Apply, hand tighten and let set for 1 hour, than torque to spec.. Should work nicely

And same quick picks I took around 11pm when I finished assembling.

Looking AMAZING. You've inspired me to upgrade my welding setup and add a TIG at some point. Keep up the great work.

Also never thought about using the copper gasket maker vs the steel gasket.

^^^ Thank you! Hope to have her running again tonight. Check for leaks if any, than fix the midpipe if I have enough gas to do so..

Its a s471 with the race cover. The race cover makes the turbo look massive...

BTW got her fired up last night and all seems to be ok. I think I need to add fuel to the fuel map sense this is a bigger turbo and a new manifold. At operating temp she runs at 13.4 afr at idle.

Here is a crapy video of the car running. I wasn't really paying attention to filming sense this was the first start with the new setup.

Do you need to run a 5" intake with that compressor housing?
