So turns out I wasn't having an ignition issue. Plugged in the laptop and did some logging and it turns out that it was hitting boost cut. As soon as the gate would at 15psi it would hit 28psi right away. Looked at the gate lines and sure enough one of the lines had popped because it was touching the manifold which caused it to heat up than eventually popped. I replaced the line and added a DEI heat shielding sleeve and now all is well and back to normal. Glad it was an easy fix for now!

Here what it was doing at first..

Than did a test run. This time I just need to watch the boost so it doesn't hit boost cut like in the next video. Other than that cars running great!

I used DEI fire tape to wrap all of my important wires, hoses, etc...on the exhaust manifold side.....Better safe than sorry....

My biggest concern was the coolant lines running on the firewall behind downpipe....I ended up double wrapping them just to be sure that they dont dry rot and start to leak..

I just saw your videos on my youtube channel, figured you would update this thread and sure enough here it is. Sometimes the biggest issues or seem to be can be caused by the most obvious simple problems like you just experienced (Love easy fixes). Good thing you have a boost cut like that, 28psi is pretty freaking high but you are on e85? Maybe switch SS -4 AN plumbed lines so they are more heat resistant?

Not a bad idea Catmand3 ill have to do that as well.

Hipsi, I'm glad it was an easy for now. Once the new manifold with twin gates is put in, I'm going to use SS -4 brake line hose. Summit has premade lengths for a decent price. I know those can hold pressure and heat.

When on e85 boost gets turned up to 32psi but I have boost cut set to 28 to keeps things safe. Love having all the fail safes on the V2 working properly as well! Well worth it. Sense boost creep is a big issue I need to watch the boost gauge and not try an hit that 28 psi mark to get a good pull or hit.

For what its worth, I got a E85 gas cap from SummitRacing just to see if it would work. I needed 10 bucks to get free shipping or pay 10 bucks FOR shipping. So it was a no brainier. Didn't think it would work for our car but sure enough it works. Looks almost like the factory cap but with a yellow top with e85 on it. Been driving with this cap for a few days now and have had no issues.

If anyone else wants to get one the part numbers on the box. I picked it up for 6 bucks off summitracing.

Here's a few pics.

Any kill stories yet? With that much power on tap I'm sure you've had some interesting encounters.

To my surprise no one wants to run around here Either they know what this cars all about or they are just lame. I've pulled up to a couple z07's and z06 vetts on an open highway but none wanted to run. There are other cars that are ls1 swapped with a single turbo but they too are either broken or "don't have the time" to run.

But I do have two friends with crotch rockets that I want to run and they do as well. R6 and R1. I think ill be able to kill the r6 but not the r1. Need to catch them on a sober night tho lol Maybe this weekend ill get them setup for a few power runs.

there are some guides out there for the v1. the settings may be a little different but probably close enough to figure out what to do.
I remember more fuel and less timing but that's not so helpful.

Get it to your tuner or have him make you a file and you just load it and go from there..

That's what I would do.

Per the tuner Ian at FSR Motorsport Creations he advised to setup 2step instead of drag anitlag. Now that it is setup, I am able to hit 0psi and launching was actually much better. I think with a little more adjustment I could get a few more lbs but not sure how much to go and not break something lol

Onto the next question. Aem v2 and the A/C. How the hell do you set it up so that the climate control can actually turn the ac pump on and off. Right now I am able to activate the ac buy selecting "switch always on" in aemtuner but the climate control is still not able to control it off or on. Ive read about some sort of relay needs to be put in but it is VERY unclear as to how to do this. Only seems to come up for the 1jz. Nothing about the 2jz and the 6100 or 6101 AEM box.
