This is kickass, good build!

If you don't mind me asking, after all this work, why didn't you just go GTE instead of NA-T in the first place?

For me the GTE is over rated and too easy.. I liked the challenge of making the NA-t make good power. I would like to think I saved 2500 on the build if not more with not buying a GTE, dealing with the harness and risking messing something up or not having it work. Everything works in my car as it did from factory but making 700+hp.

BTW. Getting on the dyno tomorrow to work out some issue's. The car started to break up around 5k after the gates would open. I've been street tuning my self for the past two weeks but that is taking to long. Logging doing a pull or two, checking the log, adjust map and repeat. Hopefully It can get sorted out quicker on the dyno.

I just put in new plugs gapped at .028, checked for vac leaks and so on, so I'm thinking its something to so with fueling and the AEM hitting a failsafe. I haven't done a real good tune since the th400 swap anyway so its probably time to do that anyway. I hope all goes well this Saturday.

Please share your experience with these tires. Driveability, street driving, track, etc. Have been interested in those myself.

So far they have been great. They are super sticky when warmed up and it seems to handle traction much better than the r888s. They hook like a beast! But driving in the rain... forget about it leave your car at home. On my way back from the dyno yesterday, It rained and the car was all over the road. I had an hour drive home and had to drive 45mph the whole way. These tires don't like wet pavement what so ever. Other than that they are great. I daily my car and haven't any issues yet.

So they dyno went well. We had some ignition issues which turned out to be the coils getting to hot and plug gap. Had to gap them to .024 which is horrible. But ever sense installing the lq9 coils, they have been a head ache and causing all sorts of ignition related issues. To go on with the dyno I had to remote mount the coils extremely ghetto only so I didn't have to stop the dyno session and waste everyone's time. Ill be throwing these out and installing the AEM high output coils I have. A couple of tuners that a friend of mine and I have talked to all seem to not like the lq9s due to them over heating in the galley and causing alot of issue's.

We also maxed out the 340lph pumps I have and could make anymore power at 29psi due to running out of fuel. Ill be upgrading the pumps to the 460 e85 pumps in the next couple weeks. shooting to hit 32psi and call it good.

Anyway, great results after getting that sorted out. 29psi 720rwhp 683rwtq through the Th400 with a complete stock long block GE. If this was a Six speed, I believe it would have made just under 800hp. So I am very happy! She pulls like a monster with the auto!

Here is the jimmed lq9 coils. And of coarse this is temporary.

Richard - toss those lq9 away and get back into the Mercury Marine IGN-1A coils and you don't have to gap your plugs so narrow which can cause a lot of heat .

.024 is pretty standard for E85 and big hp out of our little 3 liter motors. That's what I run on my stock toyota coils in the Supra.

Thanks for posting up your build. I am doing a similar build and your thread will be invaluable. The wheels/tires looks sick. What size are you running up front?

They are diffidently going to be switched out. Since we ran out of fuel pump, ill be switching those out first before I make any drastic changes to ignition. That way we can get things sorted out in a controlled manner. At around 6400rpm the afr lean limit fail safe would trigger after doing back to back pulls. So we want to swap out pumps to see if it fix's that issue. After that we will work on ignition.

Glad it will come useful to some The fronts are 275/40/18. They do poke a bit from the front fender but they are not pulled or rolled yet. So l will have to put in some time for that later on.

And here is the inside of our Tank. I have a spare tank I cut open to gain access inside to make my fuel pump hangers. Fits nicely. For the next setup I might be making a bracket for 3 or 4 pumps.
