Default ruby 1jz single turbo build 550 whp!!! drift car/fun weekend car

so my twin turbos blew up :/ so now its time to go single turbo. plans are this: please visit build thread too: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...holy-1j-4.html

550 whp with a welded diff. yes i said welded i dont daily this car so im not worried about it too much. plans to do that:
-holset hx35
-mk4 550's
-12 cm housing or bep housing on holset
-twin scrool manifold t4 with a t3/t4 adapter plate
-50 mm hks wastegate
-new walbro 400 fuel pump
-all stainless steel lines and an fittings
-aeromotive fuel pressure regulator
-greddy emanage ultimate
-264 cams later on down the road (thats how ill achieve the 550 whp)
i only plan on running 400 whp on the initial tune because i only have a w58 with a stage 3 clutch (brand unknown, previous owner never told me) but once i get an r154 i will be turning up the boost and try to hit low 500's high 400's.

Are you going to use e85 or pump gas?

race gas, dont think i could get 550 whp on pump gas 91 haha. on pump gas ill probably only be in the low 500's

Yeah with 550's E85 is out of the question and I baby my car because W58.

yea, only plan on running pump gas. e85 calls for a lot more things, something i dont want to get into yet. maybe later on down the road when i have more money haha. yea im gonna try and make my w58 last until i can find a decently priced r154

Good luck buddy! I'm still trying to get mine up & running. Once I get it up & running though, I'll probably upgrade the twins to single come tax season.

You might acheive the 550 mark with the current mods you have listed. i got 522 on pump and it was over 100 in the bay with the tune. I am sure you can get pretty dang close. Cams do a lot and prolly can use the stick shims also. the w58 wont hold with several runs but the 154 will do it perfectly. good luck man.

kool beans man, mine mde 431/406@20psi 2 weeks ago, going to the last event of the season down here on the 11th, my tq curve is crazy looking also

yea you can use the stock valvetrain with the 264's, but i think ill get the 272 spring and retainer kit for good measure. im excited, hope i get close to my hp goal. ill even be happy with 522! at how much psi was that at?

damn nice! yea my torque curve will be pretty insane too cause those holsets hit hard and all at once! what u running? BTW ALL UPDATES WILL BE POSTED IN MY "HOLY 1J" BUILD THREAD. so check out the build thread and make your replies in there dont want the thread to die

That was only at 21 pounds, again on pump 93 octane. Good luck on your build.
