Default Soarer build thread .. still in progress

Well got a new addition to the 2 sc400's I been building wanted a daily one, So I picked up a Soarer shell one day and started putting all my spare parts in it

The night I brought it home

The next day I started to work on it , the doors that were on it had a lot of dents and scuffs so I put my spare green ones on while still keeping the folding mirrors

The only reason its on Mrk 3 supra wheels ATM is because I am painting the SSR's Here it is on stance coilovers

Here are the SSR's waiting for when i get back from out of town for prep and paint

And here is the last piece of the 97 kit I gotta put on

While I was on this build I hated the Digital cluster so I got a USDM one from a friend on the forums and did the wiring work to get it to work right

Couple interior shots , Car didnt come with all the interior parts so still collecting them

Oh ya forgot to say I swapped a 1uz/5speed into it lol

and here is the new part I am machining to install on to the 1uz just waiting on my clutch to come in the mail so I can finish the plate for it .

And I started to build adapter plates to mount this onto the 1UZ

I have a lot of stuff I am doing coming up , Just need work to give me a break here and there

Well hope you guys like it , Still A long ways to go

Nice progress, you weren't kidding...you literally picked up a shell! Way to begin the RE-Build! You could probably find some good deals on some interior parts in the SC 300/400 Classifieds? Check it out when you get a chance. Good luck with your build bro!

Well its an LT1 intake I had sitting around and I herd that the 1uz intake is very restrictive so I figured why build a whole new one when all I have to do is machine up a couple plates and wire in the TPS . figure I would try something fun

Very interested in this. Let me know how it goes. I can see this ending up in my engine bay...

getting that LT1 intake is going to take some considerable machining. the ports dont line up at all man. you are better off making something completely original.

also you have to take into consideration where the starter is. your best bet is to see if a 2UZ-FE intake will work.

Yes I have thought about the starter and its location , figured I had the tools and the intake sitting around I would look into something different , But thank you for the heads up , I will look into the 2uz intake

So today I got a little bored at work so I mounted my new pump On a plate ( half the pic is cut off because I can't show the rest yet lol

And while I was at it I ordered a crap load of stainless tubing and stainless fittings

So tomorrow after work Ill be redoing my fuel system

Main reason I am doing it, is the lines look corroded and the fuel pump sounds like its on its way out
