Wondering whether it's a faulty fpr or my FMU set up caused a "over pressure" situation causing it to strip the bolt. Really considering buying at min an APEXI safc, having my set of 315cc injectors flow tested and trying to street tune my car using my A/f gauge.

Well today after work I hit the junkyard, got all the little things that melted/scorched in the fire yesterday. $19. Gonna throw everything on. While I'm at it I'm going to send out my 315's to get cleaned and flow tested. I feel like I have 2 options.

1) put the 315's in and dial down the ratio on the FMU. Thus lowering the fuel pressure due to the larger injector.

2) ditching the fmu all together, putting my return line back to stock and getting a F/IC to control the 315's.

Regardless I need to order a new wideband O2 sensor, getting a p006 code.

So I bought a replacement wideband sensor, re-loomed some wires, replaced the heater valve, valve cover plastic and fpr. Gonna sand down my carbon fiber hood and you will never be able to tell I had a fire.... Besides the smell lol. But it cost me 25$ to repair. 👍

Finally got a day to mess with the lex, made sure the battery was fully charged the. Gave it a whirl, no fuel pressure, can't hear fuel pump...30A efi fuse was the problem. Started her up and even with the brand new sensor the wideband is throwing a code. Looks like I'll just return the sensor and buy a new wideband.
I was leaking coolant out of the heater valve(which I replaced and forgot to tighten a clamp)
But then it looked like smoke/steam coming off the passenger side header once the car warmed up. It was where the fire started, and it didn't really stop. So I'll be looking into that. Really didn't smell like burning plastic or oil.
Made a couple little mounts to flush up my diffuser on my rear lip. Then called it a night. 👍

Well I just sold my 04 sti forester, which means my Lexus will be getting the full treatment. Bigger injectors, COP conversion, AEM v2, harness by panic wiring, and I'm trying to find a tuner in my area.

Looking to get tuned in the next couple months, still gotta button up some loose ends on my car, -12an turbo oil drain, modify my valve covers for COP's, find out what size injector I will need for my set up, and get em. Delete the MAF and mod the I/c piping accordingly, fix my driveshaft adapter or buy one that works. Fix a fat *** hole in my bumper from the neighbor backing into me...then denying it happened... POS.

Bought my own house a few months ago. Lexus progress has been slow.
Just ordered AEM v2 for the gte, but I'm gonna fix a few gremlins in my current set up before going forward. Gotta get the CORRECT driveshaft adapter, while I'm at the I'm going to do an ACT xtreme 6 puck(rated at 645tq) and ARP pressure plate/flywheel bolts. + new -12AN turbo drain, adjustable RUCA's, alignment, and hoping for some 305/315 rear tires.
Gotta still refinish my carbon hood/trunk. I'm going to cut a hole in my hood, for a tear drop wastegate dump.
Other shizz on my to do list.... Buy 850/1000cc injectors, install aeromotive FPR and stainless braided fuel lines. Install oil catch can. R154 shifter extension when I do the clutch. Side skirt splitter DIY, roll cage, front and rear strut tower bars. List goes on. But now I have my own garage, and my "second wind build" begins

Congrats on the house man. I've been wanting to take my house-hunting venture more seriously, but I really want to get my SC built first before I commit my income to a mortgage payment. But I do really want my own house with my own garage lol

Wellllp I joined the darkside. I went LS. Junkyard 5.3 stock bottom end, built heads. Ls6 intake manifold. 80lb injectors, 78/75 t4 turbo. 4" bumper dump. 50mm wastegate. T56 6 speed, act clutch rated for 940ft/tq. 3.5" aluminum driveshaft. Modded the stock tank for dual walbro 255's, one runs all the time. One is on a boost activated switch. I built everything on this set up. Custom everything, I just sent the wiring out to be done. . I know most will hate. But it's a sloppy mechanics 700hp recipe. I will be tuning the car myself with HP tuners. Should fire the car tomorrow. Full tube front end, 6 point roll cage.

WOW! Nice build. Can't wait to hear this monster. I also have an On3 Performance turbo. Its a 70mm with .68A/R. But I have it on my 1jz. Nice turbo and have had zero problems with it

Man i'm just wondering how much money you have into it?

It must have been a hard decision to go LS after putting so much work into making the UZ fast.

Props for the dedication

The UZ wasn't fast, after all that work it needed so much more. I was able to sell my aem v2 $1400 injectors $500, motor $500, r154 swap $1800, turbo $300, and turbo hot parts for $600. That's nearly 5k, and I'm about 6k into this LS swap. But it's going to be 650 WHEEEL hp all day long. On e85 it's a 750 wheel setup. It just didint make sense to me to keep Dickin with the UZ. The juice was NOT worth the squeeze.
