Hey thanks! But no I didn't mod this to euro style where the signal light lights up as a parking light. I just took a pic while my hazards were on to show how bright LED lights are. I have another thread with a vid showing how snappy the flash is compared to regular filament bulb.

Default New Intake Coupler & Brand New Tailights

Just a throwback pic for fun;

And some small updates;

Cleaned the engine bay and tried to shine the plastic parts.

I have been struggling for a long time to change the intake coupler as it cost $93 from the dealer, and still with our CL membership it cost $55 from Lexus Sewell. I am a very reasonable person, and I don't cheap out on parts that I believe are worth it to be bought from the dealer brand new, but a rubber intake coupler for $55 is just ridiculous. I hated how the silicone coupler looked like so don't tell me I should've bought it instead. Anyways, found this in eBay at a very reasonable price and decided to try it out, I mean, I can always return it if I feel that it doesn't meet OEM standards at the least, and for the price of $25 shipped, it wasn't bad at all. Totally the same and no difference with OEM at all.

I know, I know.. A Lexus don't deserve ghetto fixes like this. And this'll be the last time I'm "ghettoing" anything.

eBay intake coupler

If you're like me, and don't wanna spend $55 for an intake coupler, or prefer buying a used one because its cheaper, don't cheap out for $25. I just realized that the coupler should actually be flexible and soft not like the 17 year old coupler I had that almost felt like plastic.

Next up, one of our fellow members is leaving the community so soon, and he just sold all his parts collection and all are brand new. Too bad somebody beat me to the IMF headers he was selling for $200 (and now being flipped for $500) even though I was first to contact him about it, he gave it to a local guy, I guess he really needed the money so bad. Anyways, I was able to get the brand new '95-'96 tail lights he was selling! And damn! The difference is just incredible! I'll let the pics do the talking;

(^^These are for sale btw in the classified, don't be afraid to shoot me any offer!^^)

I'm one of the few people who refuse to join the fad of "upgrading" to '97+ body kit and tail lights.

Thanks to ScDoinIt for these brand new a$$ lights!

Some pic whoring for the visual people!!!

Talking JDM sidemarkers. In need of honest opinions!

I have mixed feelings about putting these on... I need help deciding!

Props to cww180 for these! Straight from Japan!

Main difference between USDM and JDM side marker lights is the 'hump' for added visibility, plus the side markers flash sequentially with the signal lights on JDM(which I'm also thinking about doing).

Another difference is the 'ridges' of the diffuser. I also think the JDM goes well with the ridges of the headlight housing.

USDM

JDM

Alright guys, fire away!!!

Thanks Calitri! I like your white SC too! PBM's are great for daily driving, not too soft, not too stiff.

Check out the throwback pic I posted on post #47. It wasn't clean to begin with. You'll get there eventually. Good luck.

I know... But I can't decide which one to use... I think I'm gonna buy the clear Vertex side markers too as a part of my collection! Its always the smallest things that make a big difference!
