Thank you guys .

I figured learning how to paint will help me save tons. I will try painting Red Mamba One after winter. The hard part is body preparation... applying putty then sanding using the right grit of sandpaper. It is a tedious process you do over and over again till all flaws are covered. The actual painting itself isn't that hard once you have the right paint mixture and you get to learn how to use your equipments so you avoid runs , orange peels , etc. . Practice is the best teacher here. You get better as you go along.

When I try to do something for which is not my field of expertise or not what I went to school for , my attitude is always "If they can do it, I can do it !" That motivates me a lot to succeed .

Started taking out the tape I used for masking and re-assembly starts. I was originally planning to use new brake lines but decided to use the original ones so started bolting the line with retainers. I took out the ABS . The front passenger brake line goes directly to the brake master cylinder T'ed with the driver front brake line.

Before I re-install the AC lines I will paint it black together with that strut bar

Same here Richard . Looks like I will like it better than the bling bling engine bay . It is lot easier to maintain / clean and paint is cheaper than chrome. It remains to be seen.

Was imagining how it will all look like once engine is in with different shades of black.. shiny black , flat / satin black and wrinkled black

Test fitted radiator / cover ... they both need to be cleaned and painted flat black . Radiator Shroud will remain shiny black

Now I need to re drill the hole where the catch can will be bolted . I accidentally filled it with bondo . Scratched up catch can need to be painted too.

Sprayed catch can with pimer

Painted the radiator holder shiny black . I have decided to use wrinkle black on the catch can since my valve covers are wrinkle black and the -10AN lines are black braided lines. I am still try to get it dried here and eventually paint starts wrinkling up

Have cleaned the radiator and will keep the top stock color ... no paint

Installed the AC condenser which I painted high temp flat black

Amazing progress Mang Gerry. That last coat of clear made it even better and gave that glassy look. Kept looking at those pics last night you text me lol. I'm next in line for a fully body work, paint and details, for a fee of course. Cant wait for the warm weather for sure.

I didn't post those pictures I sent you last night. I don't know why they don't come out well on the laptop monitor . The cell pictures do better justice on how the engine bay looks ... which is glassy or wet.

Heck No I am not painting anyone's car . I hate the body work / sanding part... spraying paint is easy once you get the hang of it. You sand and do the body work.. I will spray it for you .. hahaha.

I can't bolt the catch can in place for now..... got to wait 24 hours to cure the wrinkle / paint . A question for those who knows... does wrinkle paint works on plastic ? I was thinking of painting the top of the radiator with wrinkle black.

Radiator is at least clean now ..

For now it will do the work. It is a run around town car for me, 350rwhp. It will be a stock setup to start with. In town, I wont even use that power too...probably a mile burst every now and then, so I don't like to spend more money than necessary . The radiator is like new and came with the car already. Once I go higher boost and more power on this car then an upgrade for the radiator will be necessary. Probably will never happen since I will have other high HP SCs.
