Has you mentionned in my thread, we have almost the same setup, but you have usdm turbo coilpack and injector (lucky man!!) instead of me with everything from the jap 2jzgte!

For now, I have approximately the same intercooler piping as you (greddy are in millimeter I think so converted it's kinda 2.78 inches loll) have a 3 inch exhaust that split into 2.5 dual exhaust. But I've fab myself a downpipe that 2x 21/4 inch from the sandwich plate where the ECV is, that goes into 3inch smootly and it clearly help rising the boost.

Was overboosting 20-21psi. We've take out the front turbo and oversized the wastegate size from 26mm to 33mm. Now I'm boosting 18psi but I want 16. Ceramic turbo you know!

What's about your exhaust?
The spring I was talking about is the spring inside the manual Hallman boost controller. The spring that is pre-installed in it is pretty light and when turned all the way, it was maybe around 14-15lbs of boost that it allowed. The kit had a second heavy duty spring. Much thicker. If you install that one, it lets you raise the boost to much higher levels.
The thing it, I don't have any boost controller installed yet! It's overboosting all by itself!

I used sandpaper on a flat sanding block about 1000-1500 grit and motor oil as lube to get it smooth as a baby ***. Then some prepsol and paint thinner to get it clean before the headgasket.

The sandpaper and block though I saw a tutorial on Supraforums about how others do it and it worked great. Takes effort but does the job.
