Weather was better today so I got some work done on the remote start. Dropped down the ignition wires and started tapping, soldering and heat shrinking. Had to depin each wire to do the heat shrinking but I can't stand electrical tape. For the Avital 4003 here is the colors to tap.

Wires on the left are the factory Lexus wires

Black/Red - Purple (Starter)

Red - Orange (Accessory)

Black/White - Pink (Ignition Circuit)

Black/Yellow - Pink/White Ignition 2)

White - Positive
White/Red - Positive 2

For my positives I actually used a fused distribution block with a 8 gauge wire ran to it.

Did some suspension cleaning. Looks better in person than in the pics.

Well, I ended up changing things a little. I went ahead and did remote start and alarm. Couple more connections but everything worked out great. Going to post pics with locations and wire colors so anybody can do it. Alarm module mounted under dash. Everything is tapped at key switch or at wiring harness on drivers side. Tach wire was tapped at igniter. Two things, some people aren't fans of t-taps, I have never had any issues with them as I strip the wire back before I put the tap on. Second thing is some of my wire colors aren't what I have read are the right one's. These are the wires that work on my car. The only wire I didn't get a pic of is the trunk wire which I beleive was white/blue at the switch.

First Picture

(Blue connector) is door lock/ unlock. Green/Yellow is factory lock wire. Green wire is unlock-factory alarm disarm.

Green wire at bottom white connector is parking light wire.

Red/white wire at middle white connector is dome lamp and door puddle lights.

Second Picture

Tach wire is the white wire at igniter. I soldered and heat shrunk it. You'd never know it was ever tapped.

Third Picture

White /Green wire is the brake pedal switch wire.

All the ignition wires were stripped and soldered. I do recomend doing that for sure.

I'll do yours bro. Won't take me but about three hours. You need to get that beater running first.
