Update!!

So everything is, in plan, where we want it to be. For now thing a working in slow motion as my friend begin to pack his thing to move from is appartment to his new house! So I'm kinda alone to work, begin on fitting everything, assembling everything, because he is going to be back on this in mid april, and I want to be ready to have only the wiring to do!!

Let's start that b**ch soon and make the car out for april!!! GOGOGO!!!

So here's pic of the engine finish one the engine stand! Pretty isn't it??

And here it is, finally in the engine bay! The engine mount, transmission and clutch are fully assemble. Oh and, brand new clutch while we were there! In fact we have made a lot of "while we are there... let do this!" you know!??

Next will be a new 3 layers Mishimoto Rad, with the Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator Hose, and an oil cooler!

I'm currently fitting the piping of the intercooler (2jz outlet/inlet are bigger than the 1jz one!) and relocating the windshield washer tank on the other side to have room for the oil cooler!

More pics to come!

Wow.. last update was Mars... sorry guys I've been busy and well... I've punished myself for not letting you know what's happening with my project! So here it is! Hope you enjoy it because they're is a LOT of new things!

so... NEW Updates!!!!!!! Yeah! loll

Here I've begin by installing the A/C line, A/C condenser and everything, also re-installing the greddy FMIC and begin to relocate the windshield washer tank to make room for a little something!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

Here's more picture of the windshield washer tank finally installed

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr
by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

Finally got myself some new parts! Benen Tow hook for the front because I've discovered you can't be towed with a front lip without destroying it! And also an Cusco aluminum catch can!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

and the "little something" that would go on the left side where the windshield washer tank used to be!
Brand new Mishimoto Oil Cooler, with AN fittings, stanless steel braid hoses (that would be trade for some black kevlar one!) and an universal Oil Filter Relocation Kit!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr
by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

Let's make brakets to make it fit!

Solid in place with three mounting point! And as you see here, I've fab myself a drain for the cooler with some An fittings because well.. AN fitting drain doesn't seem to exist as the shop guy told me!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

Block off plate with 2 90 degree AN fittings

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

Here the place I am mounting the filter. Fab a braket, and fit it on and through the batterie plate holder. Thanks to Optima Batterie to being smaller!! Perfect fit!!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

Finally the look of it installed! You can see the cooler at the right, with the fu**ing powersteering coolant hoses in front of it. I'll get rid of that an another time. I'm curious to see the difference just like that!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

I have sand and paint every braket I've made in gloss black for protection and a better look!

So that was it for April!!

May Updates!!!

I've past all the time I can on the car with my friend! All we have in mind was.. MAKE IT START!
But first thing first, finishing everything to make it work go on!

For a better looking engine I make myself some fun with the sparkplug, fuses box and cruise control covers! Here's the result! Damn I like it! I've also make myself an custom intake pipe from the previous one that wasn't fitting there at all loll!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

A closer look! I can't wait to know what you guys think of it! Blue carbon!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

Got into polishing the P-S tank.. that was the only thing untouch so.... I've paint the braket in semi gloss black after it.

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

OMG I'VE GOT IT! FINALLY!! Sorry.. I've got problems with MVPmotorsports that M.Del Angel solved! But I'm still waiting for the Mishimoto Top aluminum radiator hose.

Mishimoto 3row full Aluminum Radiator!! Let's cool this engine!!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

It's a MKIV Supra radiator so.. well.. doesn't fit! I trimmed the shroud and make brakets for the A/C fan.

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

Also it was like a 3/4 inch too low, so I've extented the pin under it, thread and bolt it there and make a 3/4 inch sandwich bloc of hard nylon plastic to lift it up (trust me, that wont melt at all!!!)

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

The radiator in place test fitting the height and place need (thank to me to having bolt the Oil filter braket near the center of the batterie plate because I've need to trim this plate to make room for the radiator!! It's so big...

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

Now... the downpipe question.. do I take the damn ugly down pipe that was on the 1JZ setup, and make it fit to the already existing stock 2JZ Y pipe that got a 2 1/4 inches exist when I know I have an 3inch exhaust? Hell no! Head into it.. buy myself two (wayyy too long lolll) 2 1/4 inch exhaust tube, an 3/8 inch plate, and two 3inch flanges.

Let's fab a Y pipe downpipe!! (I love fabricating things!)

so the plan, take the 3/8 inch plate and duplicate the flange off the hold Y pipe that bold on the 2JZ (didn't think that would have been so hard for the 2 holes!!!!)

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr
by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

As you can see I recycle the old downpipe and I also cut 4inch back in the exhaust line for a really nice fit. The 1JZ downpipe setup was.. well.. horrible! I can't not believed I've paid for that. Better do thing myself!!!

Finished product! And I've paint everything with black exhaust paint.

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

So... we got everything plug in, time for some lub and coolant!!
10W40 Redline high performance synthetic oil + Mercedes Benz coolant for the radiator (freebie thanks to my friend!! And way better then the canadian tire fluo green thing)

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

find an Overflow tank at my job when we've done the spring clean up. Sooo... I've fit it under the right headlight next to the windshield water tank. and there is air that can go between them for the brakes.

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

Finally right fender bolt on. Shroud refinish, painted and installed. Realize that I won't need the Cruise control cover as.. we haven't find a way to hook it up to the 2JZ (into the wiring I mean, not physically) and I want to buy myself a hub, quick release and a Nardi steering wheel. So 3 reason to get it off! Buuuuuuut! It's so pretty!!! I've got to find an utility to him!

Update!!

May Part 2

Now that the oil cooler is installed where not cooler mean to be installed, I was thinking "man! there's not enough vent into the inner fender to let air out!!

Fab? ****** yeah! in the famous job spring clean up, find myself 2 inner fenders from another vehicle with what? Vents!!!! So after some cutting, trimming and hotgunning everything, and some sealer and rivets I thing this would help!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

Good now.. in the month of March and April, I searched all around for 1JZ and 2JZ wiring diagram, explation, body loom diagram, etc. and well finish by finding everything!!

I've make a thread about it:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...te-wiring.html

Made myself a swap bible

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

So, back in may now, we, week after week, make the new harness to make everything work together.. lot of time, headache and ***** later, we got this!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

The 40pin plug from the 2JZ ECU already plug in there was like.. seven wire to sold to the 2JZ body plug.... loll! I don't have an automatic transmission, either traction control or ABS.. If I die in a crash, I'll die like a man! Hahaha 90's lovers understand!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

Pain in the *** to make all the wire down to the ecu inside the car!! A little mess up but understand here, we are last wednesday, the May 16th, midnight. we work on thrusday at 7h30 AM, but We GOT TO MAKE IT START!!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

Find a way to hold my gopro to filmed everything for the first start up! (there's so much thing in that garage that It wasn't hard lol)

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

My friend unplug the fuel pump, I've make it crank to level up the oil in the engine (is haven't started since a longgggg moment!!..Well.. good job, it cranked!!!

Plug the pump back.. and.. you know what.. STARTED!!!!!!! On first attemb! Like a little Lion sleeping, rolling on low RPM for now but running!.. I thing we mess up something with all the vacuum thing on the intake.. BUT IT START!! So happy now! Video soon when.. I'll find a way to make a video with mpeg4... loll

So story on.. now.. We got to find every little problems, injuries, whatever, to back up that best outside and have fun again!! Can't wait!

So now, reinstalling everything to make it look like a car again loll

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

And well, I found a new utility to the Cruise control cover so nice in blue carbon! Brake booster tank cover!

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/153934546@N06/, sur Flickr

So here's where I'm at now! My plan.. that car HAVE to get out THIS weekend! I don't sleep since it started, I dream about driving it.. and that sound!!!! It's such a low engine sound.. the 1JZ is like a little kitty cat and that one the big daddy Lion!

Let me know what you think!! Will update soon, trust me!!

In fact, apart the power steering tank that is polish, and news parts, everything has been painted. I'm a car painter everyday so, that was the easy solution!
