What exhaust manifold are you running?
Thanks man! I feel better keeping the A/F on the safe side.
It's just an ebay manifold that has been modified for a vband 44 tial or 46 pte wastegate and ceramic coated.

Thanks guys, that means alot! I don't have a link to the exact one, I actually bought it off a guy on the supraforums. It looks identical to the xspower / cx racing cheapo manifold. So far so good! If it breaks or cracks I'll probably upgrade it but for now it's doing the job!

I feel you on the w58 I am running 245 on the rear and they just spin through 1st and 2nd......I would rather have them spin than grip to much and break the w58....

How is yours holding the power....you also have the Comp Clutch Stage 4 like I do.......mine is holding the power fine without slipping

I haven't experienced clutch slip yet the higher loaded gears pull really good. The car has 275's on the rear but they are old tires and the open LSD just puts all the power to one tire so it could be improved. I thought about just getting some stickier tires and maybe that would improve it but the only ones that look promising are the toyo R888's and they don't make a decent size for 17" rims just 275, and the mickey thompson street radial is made in a 295/45/17 but I hear they are awful in the rain if you get caught in it.

Anyone wanna donate a complete 6spd lsd pumpkin to the cause ? From what I've read the auto TT diff is good but will break due to being a smaller diff once you start trying to launch on it hard. The 6spd diff's are ridiculous in price like $2,500 with who knows mileage!

Now that the colder nights are here traction is getting worse and down right sketch. I'm calling it quits until I can get a stickier tire under her because 2nd gear just blows the tires off completely now from a roll.

What tires do people normally switch to? I've read great things about Mickey Thompson 295/45/17 street radials, but I've heard they are scary if you get caught in the rain.

So I hope by adding stickier meaty tires and converting the car to a 3.76 TT Auto LSD pumpkin I can keep the car straight and more predictable.

R888 will work but will break some drivetrain parts.
Nitto NT555r will also work great I had both.

I love 888! Takes 5min to warm them up, I drove them in the rain ..stay under 50mph and you will be fine.

700hp they hook like no other with no lsd, 800hp they hook great with trd diff.

Hey Omar I'm still on the factory TT wheels which are 9.5" in the rear. With that said the only size that Toyo makes that would fit a 17" is the 275/40/17, I don't see any 295 options like with what Mickey Thompson street radial has which is the width I'd prefer. I'm just wondering if it'd still be worth it to spend $600 on toyo r888's in 275 width.

Some pictures of how they look on supras:

275 r888 or Nitto NT555r will work just fine

MT295 is too wide for the stock tt wheels imo, they will look funny imo.

MT275 will be perfect, it won't look bulky on the car.

Car still is running and driving smooth and reliable as ever. I recently got a great deal on a PNP harness / MAPECU3 setup so that will be going on soon to replace my SAFC NEO. I also picked up a genuine boost logic NA-T FMIC intercooler pipe kit to replace my temporary DIY piping. I'm hoping this cleans up the piping a bit and it also came with a HKS SSQV bov .

The rear tires on the supra TT wheels are shot. Still undecided on which tire setup I'm going to run so I threw on the stockers just to get it rolling again. It surprisingly looks clean but kinda awkward considering how low and sunken in it sits.

Mike Epps! "They 10's but they nice though"

Going WOT like this was comical !!!

R888's for the win!!! i love them.. only spun tire ones doing a freeway pull on a cold foggy night. This was after maybe 200-300 miles after getting them mounted. Haven't spun sense.. these are 315's 720ish HP..

Man a 700whp hit and no wheel spin is a serious tire!

Ya I think r888's are in my future, however 275's is the only size they make for a 17". I was really wanting a wider tire for that steam roller look but the 275's will be an easy bolt on affair without any crazy rolling / cutting fenders. I fear though what this added traction will do to my drivetrain...

I've been considering dropping my entire w58 setup / transmission + comp clutch + driveshaft + rear diff, listing it for sale so I can upgrade to something that I can put the power down with. If anyone is serious about doing a w58 swap in their sc400 or whatever this would be the perfect setup.

275/40/17 will be plenty enough tire for you.

Nitto NT555r or 555 will both work and you wont break any drivetrain parts.

Any more engine bay pics?! I love your engine bay!
