That step bit should work fine, remember to clean and grease at every step. you may need to start with the smaller one first, then swap out after 1/4" or so.

You can use a threaded 1/2 npt nipple pipe (male on both ends basically) maybe an inch or 2 longer than the NPT side of your current fitting (about 3"-4" total), then a female to female coupler to your existing fitting, or you can try and find another adapter that is -10an to a female 1/2 NPT if that even exists.
assemble the fittings together with thread sealant and tighten, then install all together at once.

You can use a flange, its preference really but flanges are prone to leaking and fittings done right wont leak.

i have a flange on mine. same as the only drain flange on your typical t3/t4 turbocharger and can get a -10 fitting on it. easy as pie.

I'm pumped to get it tuned and be able to rip on it. I need to finish the midpipe section to reduce down to the tsudo catback and then get a semi decent small psi tune on it.

GTE covers would make it look 10x better but the na covers work and are free! Plus the oil feed fit perfectly through the timing cover. Got any gte covers you want to donate ? Aren't they like 200-250 usually?

Thanks man the FFIM was definitely a hefty expense but I knew it was ultimately an obstacle to what I wanted out of the car. The FFIM does make accessing anything under it on that side of the engine bay a COMPLETE PITA. It was insane trying to install just the oil feed line with little to no room under there and all the wiring and harness stuff in the way. I'm glad I did it because I got rid of all the potential clearance issues and heat won't be an issue.

Next is finishing the midpipe install. Then most likely a cheap inexpensive w58 clutch to hold. Install the fuel mods that I have and then crank it up further.
