Ok I can get that. One great thing about divided though is that you can throw in a quick spool valve in the future if you want.

The TT IACV flange has a recessed lip for a check valve so you can run an open filter.

We designed our FFIM idle control flange to seal under light load or wide open throttle/positive boost pressure condition's. The only reason there would be a boost leak is if the IACV is bad or setup improperly through the EMS. The only reason to plumb it back in would be to quiet it up some.

I recirculated it to get rid of the sound, it was pretty obnoxious the car sounded like a train whistle. Is there any other way to remedy this? I can still hear it with the line recirced back to the intake path, it's only slightly audible. While cruising the whistle goes away under light throttle and full throttle which I'm assuming is the IACV closing.

Hey Ali,

I went ahead and purchased a 1/2 NPT to 10an aluminum fitting for the oil pan. The drill size that 1/2 NPT calls for is 23/32 or alternate size is 3/4. I bought a Irwin 4 unibit combo from Lowes and I'm assuming I can use the one that opens up to 3/4"? And then tap it with the 1/2" NPT? Or should I open it up with a smaller step bit, and then finish the hole with a 23/32 drilled bit? I'd like to just use the unibit to keep as little shavings from entering the oil pan as possible.

What I bought from Lowes:

Also what did you use to seal the thread to the oil pan? Teflon tape? Red RTV? Loctight to keep it from back threading like people use on the valve cover 10an fittings? Or I've read that using the Toyota gasket making glue is really good as well, Toyota FIPG.

I use black FIPG for that kind of thing, and have not seen any leaks yet.

Just realized I don't have a good "after" picture showing that. The amount of space it free's up is ridiculous. I'll have to snap a shot like this but how it currently looks tomorrow for reference. You could seriously clear a gt42r or Borg Warner with ease.

Is this 1/2" NPT going to work? From the looks of the default semi hole stamped into the stock GE oil pan, the 1/2" NPT fitting is only going to thread in maybe a 1/4 of an inch max from the initial depth of the hole. My intention is to drill out the hole using a 23/32 drill bit and then tap with a 1/2" NPT for this fitting and then seal it with Toyota FIPG but I'm afraid there won't be enough room to thread the fitting in due to the depth the hole has already.

Showing the amount of threads on the 1/2" NPT side before setting it in the hole:

Showing the amount of threads holding the fitting inside the hole against the inside wall where it will start to thread in:

Any thoughts? Will it be enough to seal and hold with that little bit threaded in? I do have the flange too just in case.
