I mean i ordered the parts in TODAY.. should get them in tomorrow... will post some pics up tomorrow. Out of curosity.. how much you think this car is going to worth after its all said and done?? i know that you can never put a price on all this stuff in the used car market, but what would you think i would expect to get for it once its all said and done??? the interior is cleann... I'm still going to do some tweaking inside though, but will post pics soon. wanted a feeler of what it may be worth cause i really don't need this car. but from what i hear its a great ride (must be better than my 3GS) so we'll see.

Thanks guys!

Nooo, you're not gonna sell this, are you? After all this work, why? Idk what it would be worth but if I did all that work after getting it for such a great deal, it would be priceless to me. But if you do decide to sell it, you can't go by what people in another state are selling for, check around your area, (private party) and then add some to the top of that. You have all the documentation on what ya did to it so that will help alot. I just can't figure out why. But then again, if ya don't need it, ya might as well make some money off it. either way.

You guys are right.. i mean i really haven't even drove the car yet... I hear the ride is smooth and these cars are built like tanks. So after driving it im sure i'll change my mind. I have a 3GS now and it rattles and isn't as smooth as i like it to me, but it sure looks good. After doing all this work yoru right it would be hard to sell, just wanted to see what these things go for, really never looked up LS400 values.

I just have a fun time working on cars and i love the feeling of getting a car that needs some work, doing it and watching the car get it's life back. Once all the mechanical work is done.. im going to be working on the interior, those are always fun...

Im thinking of putting AVIC-X930BT in it.. any opinions? also i saw a kit on ebay for the dash with harness for $23.99... do you still get to have the subwoofer working with that kit? I know beat sonic makes on, but its like $230 JUST for the kit.. kinda high for me. any thoughts?

Okay... so im going to be doing the engine seals and the tranny seal today... along with the Rack & Pinion...

Im kicking myself right now cause these seals are going to be a total pain, esp knowing i had the engine out the whole time... oh well. if your going to do it, do it right.

So i checked on the disc rotors and pads and everything looks good... i have about 60-70% life left.. so i declined on changing them for now... going to wait 10k miles and then change the rotors and pads. got the wheels locks also off (obviously)

I got the passenger side door all nice sanded and primed.. ready for paint. Also the rear bumper is ready for paint and so is the front bumper...

I thought i'd scan the orginal sticker price for the car cause mine came with one and post it on here, i like looking at stuff like that so im sure some of your guys might like to see what the Original sticker was on these things... $59k (hopefully i'll all finished under $5k with this car)

enjoy!

did you check the tool kit in the trunk for the wheel lock? that's where the previous owner of my car kept it, took me 15 minutes to realize it was there. kind of does no good now but worth a look.

searching will help you a lot, there's a tutorial you'll find when you search telling you how to clean the vvti oil screen.

Default Finished up Paint...

Well i got the paint all finished up yesterday... everything looks nice and new now. Once i'm finished with the car i'm going to go ahead and give it a nice buff on the paint to really get the older paint to shine... also it had gold pinstripes that were really faded and was an eyesore for me so i peeled them off so it left a residue that you can clearly see that pinstripes were their prior. I'm going to use the polish pad and get those marks off the car also...

heres a few pics before i applied the paint...
