Project NA-T, My 5-Speed Converted 1G
Traded my junky SC300 (http://tinyurl.com/3bhlr2y
) I had for this thing.
Took all the 5speed stuff out of said SC and now we are throwing the 5speed stuff in the GS and since I have a bunch of NA-T parts that I was going to use on the SC, I guess put those on the GS too later down the road. The GS came with no trans, so it was that, or find a 97 trans.
Ripped out the dash, put the SC brake pedal on the GS braket.?
Ripped out the traction control pump resevior thing out, going to eliminate it along with ABS sometime next week.
AK cut off the dash bar mounting tab from the SC.? Held it up under the dash and it fit pretty snug, so next week we'll do some drilling after eliminating the abs and traction.
Here is all the left over SC parts that will probably go on the GS later.? Im worried the W-58 will explode just pushing around the GS.? But thats only because everyone says its going to explode.
Drilled out some spot welds on the pedal, bent it and tacked it back together. Still need to cut the pedal to get it exactly where I want it.
Test fit
Auto trans mount worked on the w58 luckily.? Ordered a drive shaft from Driveshaft shop today.
6 inch shifter extension
Got some brake lines done after eliminating the ABS and Traction pumps and lines.? Front lines are the same length, and rear lines are as well, so I don't think I should need a proportioning valve or anything.
And Got some BC's
Got the dash back in, finished up some pedal junk, finished up the brake lines, finished the shifter extension. Just need to mount the clutch and trans, bleed all the fluids, and waiting on my driveshaft from DSS
Extension mounted
Put eveything together, and now she runs and drives like a champ.
Did some stuff.

I have a couple of ? For you 1. Did you have to costume make the drive shaft to fit or you did it cause you wanted too?. And do you know if the driveshift from an sc300 would work. 2. Did you have to extend the shifter to fit or they way it sets would work? I have everthing from a 92 sc300.

Regular. I'm gonna switch to the extreme drop ones, my rear is maxed and i'd like to at least go a half an inch lower.
Im gonna make a custom exhaust at my shop for it soon, VIP style and such, i'll keep you guys posted on the build, thanks for the kind words!
