I'll offer a suggestion only because you said you were thinking of using a vinyl on your car. Use plasti-dip. Check out this G35 with black plasti-dip..
They only come in matte colors, red/yellow/black/white. Cheapest and easiest way to get your car looking good temporarily. Hope this info helps.
