I've always wanted to Swap an Ls in one of my cars but would have Never thought to do it to an SC. It's most common in the 240's.

Congrats on the project. Realy looking forward to how this performs.

Finally the LS-x levy has broken- I've counted three swaps now using DGR mounts. This is a good day.

Ok thanks for the heads up. And on the passenger side, how close is your starter to the flange?

Not yet. Still trying to figure out how the Tremec is going to like the stock auto diff.

There will be plenty of pics as I make progress. As for the wiring, its going to be very simple and to the point. The stock Lexus ecu will still control the creature comforts and aux accessories, and the LSX ecu will only get power where needed to run the engine, and I am sourcing a T/A dash harness to install the ODB2 port for a Diablo tuner. Only thing right now that I know will be paired between the LSX harness and the Lexus harness is the speedometer and tachometer signal, which will be spliced with Dakota digital boxes.

That's awesome Turbo! Just watched extreme 4x4 on spike a week ago about ls swaps in a rock crawlers it was cool.
The great thing about ls swaps there is a plenty of aftermarket for those engines and can't go wrong with 6 speed tremek with a short throw

Turbo, depending on how ur swaps come out I just might have to re-think my plans for the power department. Once installed will you go boost or u gonna keep it all motor ? what about rear end Aristo TT or GS400 or other and drive shaft ? Custom made ?.... Damn I got so many questions now LoL

I watched the same show, and the Hurst short shifter feels amazing, but I will admit, its going to take time to get used to 6-gears. Only thing I have driven that was a 6 speed, was an 06 Dodge cummins..gear misses here I come.

If you decide to go that route, use the link I posted for FParts, unless you can source the engine locally.

As for f/i, or n/a, its still up in the air and wont be decided till mid-2011. Rear diff will stay with the stock auto diff for now, but may just go with an TT auto pumpkin later on. Drive shaft will be ordered from DSS.com, but Im going to talk to Aaron at drift-motion and see if he can pull something for me a bit cheaper. But if you have any more questions, feel free to PM me, Ill be more than happy to share the bit of know-how I have learned so far.

I hear you on that one. I am aiming to have it completed and debuted at TX2K11, but not sure just yet.
