Friday started my vacation off my day job. I have all next week off and intend to finish it by next sat.

Friday went to Phnx to get a super clean hood, an infamous door moulding and a window reg. All for 400!!!

Got back home round 9 pm, cleaned 'the lab' and finished modding my kazz front bumper at around 330 am. Next day started on the rest at 7am and finshed all the fiberglass modding i had to do. Monday is primer day. Enjoy the pics:

lil update: Got a set of Lowenheart LSR's 20x9 0, 20x11 +7 for a ridiculously cheap price. That right folks, no typo on the offsets. Will be getting these puppies sometime this week and decided to stop on the GS till I get the wheels. researching what exactly I want to do with the fenders: flares or wide fender/quarter panel....

Im leaning to wide quarter panel myself but I have to see how much I have to extend the wheel wells.

Will post pics on my grill mods and bumper mods. The front bumper looks way better than the stock one now thta it is all primered.

teasers later this weekend.

Gives you an idea of what I want... and I want a pull that looks something like this:

Thanks RacingStylez for building such a badass LS.

Researching how am I going to take it there and waiting on the real wheels. I will also be designing my fender vents but haven't decided if I really want to eliminate the side marker since I kind of like it... more photoshop research/design during this week for me to come up with something... maybe a vent design that would allow me to use a skinny side marker... we'll see.

Since I have downtime from bodywork, I started the headlamp mods and fog light mods as well as the LED cluster/instrument panel change form blue to red.

I finished all this in one week (thanksgiving week) since I was off from my real work PLUS I painted my brother's rps13 (complete job as well)... been an exhausting BUT satisfying week.

Headlamps:
I have JDM Aristo headlamps; I have always liked them and I even cleared the orange piece to make them all chrome but there is something about the MKIV lamps that I have always liked... specially the black MKIV housing headlamps so, why the heck not?
Also, the JDM lamps get yellow really fast even after polishing them or sanding them... forget that. So I decided to clear them and add little details here and there.

MKIV headlamps:

Started by taking them appart, sanding and cleaning them (800 first, 1000 second, then used a gray scotchbrite and prepping soap), added a black outline, added some refraction tricks, candy blue over the chrome projector cover, blacking out the inside and clearing the outside.

BTW, in the last pic the lights are OFF. Also, coloring that area of the reflector doesn't affect the color of the light, all it does it gives the impression the headlamp is on when someone takes a picture learned it from an old VIP Style magazine... i think it was in a june or july 2003 DIY. Seen it done with amber, red, green and pink and looks cool too.

Another thing is that I have wired my JDM lamps as the USDM lamps as well: my amber works as a blinker and driving light. I achieved this by modding the USDM blinker socket to fit the JDM headlamp. I like to see the amber in the corner and a white LED bulb as the day-light when I drive and with the black housing, this looks actually pretty awesome.

I will take some pics of the entire lamp lighted up.

With this last update, I am over and out for a bit: still deciding what I want to do with my front fenders... I am thinking of using an LS460 side marker instead of the 2nd Gen GS300 and design my fender vent to accommodate that blinker... very possible this will happen. Also, lots of family things are going on (in-laws anniversary, father in-law's b-day, my dads surgery, other drama stuff, you know, family stuff) so I might not touch this project till saturday yet for only a little bit (thinking on finishing my fog light mods).

So till then, I hope this lil update.
