HY!

A Little update in the winter time

i have the licence plates back to the insurance institut, to save money for the tax

i collect some parts for the spring to update the exhaust system and the sound system

For the woofer comes a old school Boston 10.4LF Woofer, i bought in a very dilipadet box for 20 Euros but the woofer was not the original woofer, this was a good win on ebay!

OEM Woofer

The amps change i to Sony Class A amps, i had the same Series in my IS installed, very good amps. 1x 4 channel, 1x 2 channel bridged for the woofer.

the headunit comes the same modell as in my IS, a Panasonic Radio with touchscreen, 1 million colors, front/rear/sub, mp3.....

here a video from my radio install in the OEM IS Radio, this was a work to go crazy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w00QQ...layer_embedded

The speakers will i change to Hertz Audio Speaker rear and front 6,5" 2-Way (no coax for rear, i love to have the same tweeters in front and rear)

the last parts for the exhaust systems comes this week, 2 stainless steel flex pipes 51mm to have no tension between the headers.

New headlight lamps for testing Philips 4300k with E1 = legal in Europe
I will test compared to the Narva lamps, pictures follow

But, its today hard winter here in Austria, all days lower as 0°C and much of snow.

i hope, its fast spring

ah! i become to 99% a Supra LSD with ratio 3,76 (original SC400 ratio is 3.92) i think, this is ok, the 4.08 is maybe too short?

greets

HY!

@BlaineyB... this are the original 97 SC400 wheels, in the summer, i have IS250 Sport wheels fitted. In the spring, i will give the 245/40 18 to the rear and new 235/40 18 on the front wheels.

@ Kira X...thanks!

@lamar411 thanks! the RX have a new home in the austrian mountains but this week is the perfect RX weather here like last year

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTy8ss1hPrk

(more vids in my YT account)

I forgot the upgrade of the suspension on front comes the original SC springs, and in the rear new Kayaba springs for the Supra, the SC is on the driver side ~1-1,5cm lower looks not good!

greets

Tom

Hello

Its winter and not much to do, ist too cold for work without hall

But its time for shopping

I bought a set of Top SPeed Pro-1 Muffler for my SC i see the vids in this thread and the sound is very good, the price was cheap and the shipping to Austria also! Only 135 Dollar, great price - BUY

But i will install other tips. I will have near original look, not fat tips. My car have no bodykit, i will have oem look

I found in Germany Borla tips with the nearly same dimension.

here pictures of the OEM tip:

and here the Borla tip:

Maybe the inner metall paint black

Work for the next weeks

Yesterday, i changed the headlight bulbs from Narva Range white power 4100k to Philips Crystal Vision 4300k with E-Sign (legal in Europe....from Hongkong )

The light is much better, more natural The low beam have 60Watt (HB3 lamp mod)

A Supra rear sway bar is on stock, but i will not buy new supra subframe mounts. A friend constructed for me this mounting plates

its the weather warmer, i will install the sway bar and fit correct this mounts on the SC mounts, this is much cheaper.

For the IS250 Sport wheel, have i bought OptiVent Valves to have no more black long valves

I mount Conti Sport Contact3 235/40 18 on front and 245/40 r18 on rear.

Many to do, but with temperatures lower as 0°C is not funny to work, i hope, in march is it warm

greets

Tom

The color, the tasteful modifications, and the condition make this one of my favorite cars around here.

Very well done sir

Be sure to keep us updated when that exhaust is going on.

Man who buys such a sweet ride and then drives it so little???

One day after you sell it, wouldn't you wake up and say...."I should have driven it more"?

Just me...

HY!

Thanks Guys! I have not much time to drive my SC last year, many to do with my family (a 17 month old daughter, 2 Dogs and 2 cats) and much work in my job.

But this year, i will drive more In march or april comes the licence plates back on my car and then, i will install the LSD, the supra sway bar, the IMF Headers and more Next week comes the axle-back exhaust from the customers and the new tips. The will i mount in the next week, but its cold, only 2-3°C not more.

Today, i installed the 3rd chinch-cable for the subwoofer channel and the repaired headunit from panasonic. The last owner cutted the chinch-cables on the radio..stupid man

The cables in the trunk:

some interior pics, the car need more insulation

Passanger Side ECU place

some connectors *g*

Very interesting! 2 antenna plugs? the big is for normal Radio, but the other? The both are original!

The new (old) Panansonic Radio with Touchscreen is installed The color of the display is not 100% perfect adjusted, i need more time (1 million colors possible)

Sorry, not the best pictures, it was night

The sound is better as before with the Sony Radio

Next week, i become from a friend my Hertz Speakers for the doors and the parts for the DIY crossovers

greets

Tom
