Can you post up close pics of your intercooler pipe on the driver side. I want to see where to cut a hole and how to run it for my car... Thank you in advance

C's vs Suckerpunch

my c's shifter ended up failing so i ordered the suckerpunch as its replacement. it's a really nice shifter - nearly identical to the c's. what a pain to change out if you don't have a lift though...

What failed on the C's shifter ? I believe one of my MKIV has that which I have to watch out if ever.

the black seal that holds it all together

tried fixing it by using toyota black silicone sealant which is really strong, but it came apart afterwards anyway

I've been looking for a short shifter for my 96 5sp and now that I see what happened to the c's, I'm not sure I want to take the chance on it.

I'm curious because I hear that some years for the 300, the c's will fit and some years it won't. Do you happen to know one way or the other?

Also, what all is involved in changing it?

I do not have a lift and don't want to get in over my head on the project.

well, to be fair i bought it used so i don't know how rough it was used previously. parts can fail even though they may not be 'wearable' per se.

the short shifter fit fine. same with the 6spd. i read previously the shifter will hit the trim in the sc, but it wasn't the case with my car at all. i didn't have to modify anything. i am using the supra tt transmission tunnel- i'm not sure if those people were/are. i am not sure if there are issues with the 5spd transmission though.

it's fairly straightforward to change, though a bit cumbersome. there's a number of bolts/screws holding down the trim, boots, and the plates surrounding the shifter. the annoying part (if you don't have access to a lift) is removing the 12mm bolt/nut from the tripod in the tunnel. if you are mechanically inclined and own some jack stands, it is definitely doable.
