Ok here's a possible funny question but here it goes....

I have a project toyota v8 single turbo build in mind but I want the opinions of those here that can give me realistic thoughts to this. I'm gathering parts together slowly but surely. As soon as my lease is up on my cadillac I'm finally going to treat myself and get my two favorite cars a MK4 Supra and a SC430. The SC will be my daily and the supra will come out on the weekends and track days of course. I came up with this idea when I had a 2006 tundra double cab SR5 with the 2uz motor.

I was wondering (without fabricating) can a 2uz crankshaft drop into a VVT-i 1uz block? I will plan on using the stock 1uz rods and pistons since they're very durable from what I've seen online from side by side comparison. If this can be done only with upgraded rods and pistons is fine also. What I want is this....

1. 1uz aluminum block with VVT-i...(82lbs lighter than 2uz block)
2. 2uz crankshaft (will bring up displacement
3. Whichever UZ heads flow better or I'll buy upgrades.
4. Maintain the VVT-i
5. If all goes well a single turbo kit (I love turbo lag)
6. I already have a R154 ready and waiting.

Would this be possible without having to CNC the block????

Hey guys, the boys car is getting close, possible engine fire up next week. As soon as he is up and running I am going straight over to the Lexus. I am getting really anxious to get going on it again so heres hoping I can keep on it until its done.

OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am BACK! My boys car is alive and driving, still have to tune it and get his stereo in but my focus is swapping back to the lexus. Sorry the pics are crappy, This phone isnt near as good as my last one. Forgot to mention, he's a spoiled 16 year old LOL. He did help work on it a lot though.

So the plan on my Lexus is to finish up a bunch of detail stuff on the motor and then I am hauling it to Houston too Faerman Racing Engines, the plan is to have him do a once over on it and then I will have it dyno tuned on the engine dyno at the same time John Cribb has his done. We are flying in the tuner so it makes sense for us to do two engines at one time. Then I will haul it back to Kansas and put it in. Thats the plan anyway!

Not much progress to report, just seems like the boys car never ends. I am planning to finish up my wire harness over the holiday break. Really going to take some time to figure out exactly where everything was left off. All I want for christmas is a pallet full of motivation, seems I have been going thru some burn out and refuse to admit it.

I wish I had your sons beast!

I am a few years older, but still attending high school.

As much as I would like to own his vehicle, I am still glad to say I own an AWESOME SC400!
