Update time:
I plan on staying with an auto tranny but upgrade to a higher stall convertor. Anyways, so far so good...The radiator hose worked without flipping it. All I had to do was just not push it in all the way in. It still clamps down safely. If that does not work I will have to buy the flexable radiator hose from Autozone.
I had to modify the left distributor cover to get the belt to fit properly. I cut into it with a dremel and made a path for the drive belt to pass through it. There is not much tension on the belt on that side, so I still plan on getting the extra pulley installed.
What I will need now is to connect the intake pipe to the MAF, something flexible to move with the engine. The one in the picture does not fit tightly into the intake pipe, but does fit into the MAF nicely. Any thoughts???
I have not measured the clearance on the M90, but I would have to estimate about an 1 1/2 - 2". I will get an exact figure to you guys soon.

Here is todays pic.
I am pretty much done with the install; all I need to do is:
Install passenger cat convertor with welded wideband o2 sensor.PITA
Route the sender for the electric boost gauge through the firewall.PITA
Install engine undercover. PITA
Change motor oil and oil filter.
Top off tranny fluid with T4 ATF.
Fill with Red Antifreeze.
Flush Power Steering system.
My belt tensioner does not mark where it should for a new belt, but I just figured it is due to the extra long belt...what do you guys think???
The rad hose cleared the drive belt perfectly and should not leak once I put on a new hose clamp.

This thread... rules in so many ways. This has got to be the most cost effective way of adding power to the LS400. Not in fancy intakes or loud exhausts, but in raw forced induction. This should bring the 90-97 LS400s up to the level of LS430 performance.
And a bigger supercharger/more boost/engine management stuff/intercooler/more fuel/good tune should bring it to LS460 performance
