Default Dual action polishers.

I am in the market for a dual action polisher and I keep seeing the PORTER CABLE xp7824 offered in package deals. I was in harbor freight and saw this.

There is some savings with the Chicago electric polisher , but I was wondering would there really be any disadvantage in buying the Chicago electric polisher?? Numbers/specs seem pretty similar. Thanks.

Without getting into too much detail.... if you're on a budget, the Harbor Freight unit will work fine.

If you can spare to spend $150, I would highly recommend the Griot's Garage 3rd Gen Polisher. This machine is lighter, more powerful, and it includes a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer (they will send you a new machine or repair your machine if anything goes wrong related to manufacturer defect or design... their customer service is outstanding!!!!). This will literally be the only machine you ever need to buy as a DIYer / enthusiast, and is the tool I recommend to all non-professionals who are looking to take care of their vehicles.

What do you think about the Meguiar's MT300?

I think I would save the money and just get a Griot's Garage 3rd Gen Random Orbital Polisher unless you can splurge and get a professional grade machine from Rupes, Griot's, or Flex.
