Default 22ple vx pro2 - 2016 RX350 Obsidian

Just picked up my Lexus from detail shop. I had 3 step polish and 22ple vx pro2 done. It is raining here in Washington and I will drive it in rain😟. Hopefully rain will not mess up the coating. here is some quick phone pictures. I will take some better picture when we have some sun🌞 here.

car was brand new with 200 mile. I asked detailer for perfection on paint and gloss finish so he recommended 3 stage since my car is black.

Looks good! Need to get it out in the sunshine to really see the real beauty of the work though. New vehicles seem to be very hit or miss in terms of condition, and I would say the longer the vehicle sits on the lot the more chance there is of the exterior being in poor shape. Looks good though and I am sure you are happy with it.

nice... IMO if it was a brand new car, it did not need a 3 stage correction unless they washed and dried it with a brillo pad before selling it to you... the dealer was FOS. she is sweet none the less. don't let people talk you into ish, that is uneccesary. they probably took off more paint than anything. that OB paint is ridiculously soft.

i had to order the car from different state and I'm sure they washed the car before I bought it. Price I paid for paint correction and paint coating was $700 and that was the best price I could get here in Washington. Maybe they just told me 3 stage and they only did 1 or 2 . But car looks good and I'm happy with it, I just need to keep it that way.

People have different definitions of "stages/steps" when it comes to paint correction... I really hope their definition of a 3-step correction is different from mine, otherwise they need to be charging triple that for a small SUV

Most cars in general will not need more than a 2-step correction, so I imagine yours did not truly get 3 steps of correction or else it would have been overkill unless, as Syd said, it was ruined beyond belief from the get go.

This is what 3 steps of correction look like.. heavy cutting, medium cutting/polishing, and then fine polishing.

Just want to give update on 22ple coating after 12-13 months. Black paint is still shiny but is really hard to avoid swirl marks. I hand wash it every 2-3 weeks and still have some swirl marks but they are not too bad. 22ple making hand wash really easy.
I just tried touchless carwash today and I like it even more than handwash, I think that coating make it easy to get clean in carwash. Here is some picture after carwash.
