Yesterday I ordered the Meguiar's G7164 Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner - 64 oz. $6.99 from Amazon.

I have a whole bunch of other stuff on the way right now including the 7424XP polisher rig and the 5" and 3" backing pads. I'm going to assemble an arsenal of crap and teach myself to make my is350 look like the picture in the avatar of zmcgovern4.

A dude wanted $350 to come to my place to do my car.. I'm going to spend that same money on my own stuff so I can do it myself. Amazon rules for buying all this stuff... PRIME is the ultimate.

not necessarily in that order...
The only one on that list I don't own is adams. How does it compare to the others?

There isn't anything wrong with CG products, but there are better products on the market. Most of us have used CG in the past, but you asked for everyone's go to soap.

I usually recommend Optimum car wash to my friends that aren't into detailing, but still want to take care of their car. At $30 a gallon it isn't ridiculously priced.

Just got a 33 ounce bottle of the Reset today. Directions say 1.35 OZ per 5 gallons. How many cap fills are you guys using?

Had a whole case of Meg's Ult Wash and Wax I got for cheap last year. Been wanting to try out something else for a change though once I run out, great suggestions here.

Our go to wash at the shop has been

Adam's Car Wash Shampoo for over 10 years, it does everything right.

As of late we have been testing Nanolex Pure Shampoo and all I can say is WOW.

Just stop by a grocery store/target/walmart and buy a measuring cup. 1.35oz is about 40mL, so it should be easy to measure. If you want to take it a step further, then you can buy small dispensing bottles and pre-measure all the soaps for 1 car wash quantities.
