Ok. so I tried what you said. First image of the hood with overhead light in garage. The bumps you see are the finish on the ceiling. Doesn't show swirls. The second image was taken with LED flashlight with garage light off. It shows a lot of swirls.

LOL, this is true.

But when you're paying for a paint correction thats the proper way to gauge the paints condition.

$200 is a joke. My last car was only 4 months old when I bought it and you'd be amazed how much damage an automatic car wash can do in a short time! I bought a porter cable DA and all the supplies after watching endless "Junkman" detailing videos on YouTube. When I felt I was ready I dug in. Clay bar and two step cut/polish then hand wax took me roughly 15 hours (if not more). After completing this project I realized why a proper paint correction is the better part of $1000.

I avoid auto car car washes like the plague. My cars never see those.
