Well my LS has great paint quality but after 7 years of machine wash has horrendous swirls

I have posted pics of it here before for zach to see

Professionals locally have quoted $900-$1500 for paint correction

A local friend here offered to give me a hand to see if we can make headway

So far we did the trunk and the results are looking very promising...

Just say no to a rotary buffer! Find a well built random orbital like Griot's or Ruppe instead.

That's the beauty, almost anyone can effectively use an orbital. It takes a very skilled hand to work a rotary. Considering the quotes you've been getting you're definitely better off buying a machine and doing the work yourself. Heck you can get the Griot's orbital for under $150 from Amazon!

Congrats on your progress.

My friends help in guiding me with the products are helping

And of course 900$ saved is nice

I would say 99.7% of deep surface scratches all gone

VERY NICE! You must have a sense of accomplishment and feel great that you saved some money doing it yourself. As for maintenance, you just need to seal it every 6 months and add your favorite fast wax every 2 months or as needed. Adams is rather costly and lasts only a couple of weeks so I say find something more affordable and easy to use. You could even use Meguair's 20/21 every couple of months and be good until your next annual cleaning.

Heck just use the Griot's Best in Show wax going forward and seal as needed!
