Default Whats the best to clean aluminum wheels with

I have some break dust on my wheels that I just took off for the winter and they have break dust all over them. What's the best thing to clean them with? I tried some wheel cleaner but it didn't do much.
Thanks

ALL wheel cleaners I've used that say "touchless" cleaning, are bogus. So what I end up using at the moment on my front wheels only, is Megulars wheel cleaner. Nothing fancy. I just spray the fronts, let it sit for a minute, then come back with a dedicated wheel sponge. Gets everything off for me.

FYI, you might better ideas on product to use in the "detailing" sub-forum.

Mothers aluminum polish is legit. I've used it along with the polish ball on a drill depending on the wheel or item u may get better use out of their cone instead of the ball.

When I had my GS I kept the Fujitsubo exhaust looking like a mirror with the mothers all metal polish.

Someone showed me this stuff and it works awesome. Spray 2 wheels at a time and wipe off. It removes everything including tar. I bought 2 bottles on ebay for maybe $15. Leaves a nice shines finish. I have gunmetal wheels.

do not use any metal polish or a power ball on these wheels. Treat them just like your paint finish as the wheels are clear coated.
I use Meguiars professional wheel cleaner (non acidic) or just Meguiars car shampoo with a boars hair brush and microfiber towel. Mine look like new. I do the same for my Corvette, except they are chrome.
I use a Speed Master wheel brush to clean the wheel barrels and calipers.
Meguiars all purpose cleaner diluted 4 to 1 also works just as well if they are really dirty

I will also add once you get them clean, put a good wheel wax or sealant on them and they will be much easier to clean.
I apply Pinnacle wax to mine about once a month.
