Hi guys,
I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but on sunny Saturdays if time permits in the morning, I not only wash/wax the RX, but I also detail the under part of the engine. What I do is detail the under plastic brush guard, vents and any steering rods I see. I also detail the inner wells of the tires as well. I do the same for the back inner well tires for the rear. Am I picky or what?

I do not think your picky. In my case, the environment is so dirty down here, I have to get it cleaned on the underside. The local Toyota dealer (no Lexus down here) gives me the same treatment as what I would receive under Lexus (no cost), and cleans the car thoroughly, including on the underside, every week. You should see the crud that comes off, especially out of the wheel well by the brakes....it does not look like just brake dust to me.
