Default Mequires coating?

Has anyone ever used it, and how good and how long will it last?

Unless something has changed in the last month or so, Meguiar's does not currently have a paint coating in the United States, only in Asia.

Are you perhaps referring to Meguiar's Paint Protect sealant? or another product?

Yeah that must be it. And why no coating here? That doesn't make much sense, most place are looking to make money, I guess they don't need it?

Jason Rose, previous head of Meguiar's worldwide training, simply said they didn't have a product that they felt was meant for this market at the time... so they weren't going to have a coating in the US... yet.

As far as Paint Protect, I have heard mixed reviews.... I think I still have a brand new bottle, if so, I'd be happy to send it to you for free as I have no use for it (if you want to cover shipping). It would be great if you could write up a review on it for the forum.

Thank you for the offer. It would be awhile before I could even try it. I have seen it at the local autozone I don't remember the cost. So they plan on a coating at some point in time then?

It's super cheap... $8-$10 on amazon which is why I don't mind giving it away as I really wont use it.

I am unsure of their plans here in the US with regards to a coating.

So when you use something like that, how do you remove it? Or does it just fade out with time?

Meguiar's paint protect is just a paint sealant that they claim has an exceptional life... it is not a coating and does not cure to a crystalized layer... you can remove it with a heavy cleaner like any traditional wax or sealant.

My friends and I say this over and over again. When (if) Meguiars comes out with a coating, if it's anything like their polishes, it will be game over for the competition.

And why not use the Maguire's Yellow paste wax over the top of this product to help make it last longer?
