Default How soon can I wax after applying a sealant?

I used optimum car wash, then applied opti sealant in my garage last night. When can I apply a wax?

Thanks! Dan

It depends on the sealant, but usually you're fine to apply a wax (or additional coats of sealant) about an hour or so after you finish applying the first coat of sealant.

Its the opti-seal by Optimum, so basically I could add another coat of sealant and for-go the wax altogether?

Correct - there is no real need to apply multiple coats or layers... but if you wish to do so, go for it.

Thanks, I appreciate it, I will leave the single layer of sealant, no wax, and see how long it lasts.

Use a quick detailer with some added polymers such as Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer after washing to boost the protection.

Reapply sealant every 3-6 months to maintain optimal protection.
