I use Lexol on my Flaxen. Works great no smell. You can grab one from Walmart. Sometimes good stuff doesn't have to be expensive.

What ratio of Lexol to water do you usually use?

I've used Duragloss cleaner and it was garbage in my opinion. Ive also used Lexol cleaner, which was just ok. Best, easiest, and fastest is Meguiars apc D101 diluted 10:1. It's also dirt cheap. Especially at that dilution.

Diluted APC can work (I use Optimum Power Clean) but you need to be sure to get all of it off. Diluted Woolite works pretty well too, and thats REALLY easy to find....try a 20:1 dilution (20 parts water : 1 part woolite) if there arent visible stains.

I usually scrub it into a somewhat-foam consistency, let it dwell then come back with a damp cotton terry cloth towel. And then I repeat the terry towel wipe again just to be sure. Then I let the leather air dry. The extra moisture is actually a good thing for the leather.

Would a foaming consistency be bad for perforated seats? What about perforated seats with heating/ventilated options?

Ive done it on my car with perforated (and heated) seats. Im not talking about inches of foam, just agitated enough that there are some bubbles from the "soap" of the cleaner.

And I dont let it sit on the leather very long either...I imagine *some* gets through the perforations but not nearly enough that it wont evaporate on its own.

When cleaning, I keep the ventilated seats on full blast. Not sure if it helps blow out some of the moisture that gets thru the perforations but I do it anyway
