Default White leather cleaning products/seat cover

Hey fella's

As a new ISF owner (09) , I had a few questions about the white interior. I have been searching the forums looking at what guys use for their leather (all colors) and see that sonax foam, leathernique, and 303 products seem to be the most common. That being said, is there anything I need to do specifically for the white leather as far as general cleaning and moisturizing. (or any specific product you've used)

Overall it's very clean but as you can see in the picture below there area few cracks forming and I would like to prevent that from occurring as much as possible

On a side note, I read that jeans rub off on our seats and found these awesome seat covers on eBay. Anytime a little lady gets in the car wearing jeans (doesn't happen very often unfortunately, hopefully owning the F will help lol) you just put it on the seat and your good to go. Best 40 bucks Iv spent.

Thanks guys!

I got the same seat covers from the Lexus dealership in black! I mentioned the club Lexus discount and I got them for $30 bucks out the door each. They really do come helpful...as far as products I believe leatherique is one of the best! But on the meantime you can pick up from the local dealership or Walmart. You need a cleaner and conditioner. You can also try Lexxol.

Modern Lexus leather is polyurethane coated. Your body touches polyurethane and that's what you're cleaning and treating.

My interior is similar to yours. I cleaned it with lexol but it made no real difference. rried everything else and it doesn't really work lol going to save up and end up buying new seat covers from Lexus when mines get worned all the way. I think they are like $700 for the bottom portion and $1100 for the top.

I understand that I'm kind of out of luck when it comes to the drivers seat cracking (other than iv seen some pretty awesome restoration jobs on the forums for about $200) but I mainly was trying to find out what would help clean and protect the other 3 seats. I just see a lot of leather cleaners and protestants with a tan tint to them and I just didn't want to use something that would be counterproductive because I have white leather. Based on the comment above about there being that coating on the leather, I guess it wouldn't matter.

I myself like leather master strong for cleaning leather. I use it with a brush to lather it up till it foam then wipe clean. To protect it most people like to coat it with something like cquartz. As I look at your seat I already see dye stain on there. Unless you can afford a steamer to really deep clean it but there pricey.

So, is everyone saying that there's no way to remove the blue jean dye from white leather?

I need to look for these seat covers.

First places I look are google and youtube when I want to know something. There's also some car detailing sites with how to sections. Good luck.

Bluejean dye transfer can be avoided but removal can be difficult or often impossible. The longer it is left the deeper the stain transfers. As it does it often will fade somewhat but after a few days you can forget removal as the dye is not ON the leather topcoat any longer but rather it is now IN the topcoat. Leather Masters makes an Ink Lifter as well as a Dye Transfer Cleaner which often can help if caught early, but these dyes will permanently leave their damage if left to dwell.

The way to prevent this is to use a leather protector. This adds a breathable sealant on the leather to prevent stains from penetrating the leather's urethane finish.

I'd recommend you visit this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/aut...s-leather.html
It's around 25 pages long now but contains useful information that will answer your questions.

I use Leather Masters about once a month on my light gray RX leather seats to remove the jean dye and it works very well. Wipes right off. I follow it up with some Leather Masters protectant.

my seats always get jean dye on them so i clean them monthly with meguiars all purpose cleaner (d101). its only like $15 for a gallon and i dilute it 10:1 so it'll last a lifetime. ive used many leather cleaners in the past and they've all been garbage. D101 is the best thing ive used for seats and makes mine look brand new each time. highly recommend! Can be purchased at DetailedImage.com

plus, u dont want ur honey to be sitting on a seat cover. That'll kill ur game.
