Aquapel or nothing..... Seriously don't even waste your time/money experimenting with other coatings. Tried them all, this is the only one that actually lasts. Had it on my daily for several months and all through the Chicago winter. Still beads water like the second I applied it. It withstood getting bombarded with bird droppings, many APC washes, months with being covered with salt and not being touched. Stuff is on a different level.
Give Opti-glass a try if you want to experiment more products. I used it on two daily drivers and it lasted 11-13 months on each car (of course you would need to do proper prep'ing for it to bond for long lasting durability though)
I used to use aquapel. Works great, lasts about a year or so and beads up well.
For now I'm just claying my glass every other month, but ina bit I may purchase more aquapel as it's been over a year and a half since my last aquapel application.
I simply use the spray sealant I use on the paint. If just rain, at 35 and up I don't need the wipers at all. Simple, cheap(as in not spending $ on another product just for the windshield).

Why would I want to spend that much money on a product that is not better than Aquapel?
