Oil Spraying
I purchased an SC300 from the forum here and the car will sit outside and inside depending on the music chairs played in the garage. Winter here is crap and I don't intend on driving the car in the winter unless the roads are clear of salt and the weather is clear. But it is a 94 and of course there is going to be rust on the under carriage. I was thinking of ways to preserve the car and oil spraying is popular around here. People swear by it so I just wanted to see if anyone had done this with a car and if it had positive results. I only know of a couple people who had it done but one was an 86 camaro and the body and under side looks like a 5 year old car still so I can't really argue with him. And it sits outside in the gravel all winter every year!

Did it on our 4Runner since I don't wash t all the time, also did it on our LX470. It really did work, after 9 years, the 470 was basically rust free and the dealer told me that it was one of the cleanest lx470s that went through their dealership. That being said, if your not driving it and it's just sitting outside, I don't think there is a reason to oil the car if it isn't on the road, and the occasional times it may be, just wash it. I didn't oil my Es or GS and after 3 years there's still almost zero rust, but I get the car washed nearly everyday, so I'm sure that plays a huge part in it. So it's really up to you, if you drive t a lot and don't wash it a lot, I say get it oiled. If you aren't driving it and just having it sit, Id say just wash it occasionally and spray the salt out from underneath and you'll be ok.
