Chemical guys has TONS of products. Some are good, others are not so good.

Do you have a specific product you're interested in?

They do have a couple of waxes that I have liked, otherwise I have found better products from other manufacturers for almost every other detailing related task.

My favorite wax of theirs is Pete's 53.

If you'd like other suggestions on products, please feel free to PM me

Atizzy, welcome to the Lexus club! There is a wide choice of car care products on the market. What product exactly you're looking for? I usually use Rain-X stuff, like their quality.

I have tested variety of detailing products over the year and would share my favorites below:

1. Interior protectant:
303 Aerospace protectant!!! Hands down the best of the best!

2. Sealant:
CarPro Hydro2. It is so easy to apply, while the car is wet after wash, just spray it and rinse it off. That is it, NO buffing required!!! It adds a lot of gloss, and slickness too.

3. Water spot remover:
CarPro spotless . It works way better than vinegar because it is specially formulated to remove not just water spot but any other minerals chemically. It is also designed to work on any car coating.

4. Drying towel:
Uber super drying towel. This thing is expensive but worth the price. You will never need to wring out at all drying the entire car.

5. Clay Bar:
Pinnacle ultra fine clay bar

6. Quick Detailer and drying aid
FK425. This is the SLICKEST quick detailer by far. You won't believe it until you try.

7. Car wash
Meguairs Gold Class . I have used it for years because it has good price and cleaning ability.
Optimum no rinse especially washing with sponge.

8. Cleaning glass
CarPro Fast Glass. This is the best thing ever, you do NOT need any cleaner. All you need is soak it up with water, wring it out, and start cleaning. It will give no streak, no lint, but clean glass!

9. Tire shine.
Tuf Tire Shine Kit. I have tried many and this is the BEST! The shine will last months and the tires are always looking clean! It is water based and dry to touch so it won't sling to the car paint. You can also control the shine by the number of coats applied.

10. Best temporary shine.
Meguiars Mirror Glaze #7 Show Car Glaze . This is pure oil polish without any abrasive. It will pop your car paint like crazy. Nothing I have seen so far can create so much depth, and gloss to the paint like this one does. I always use it before a car show and the car will look stunning. The only cons is that it will last only few days and fade away. Again, use it right before car show. It is a beauty product lol.

There are tons of other products I'm buying and testing right now.

The Wolfgang / Menzerna line is what I use. I always get complements on how deep and rich my car is. black is a full time job to keep clean

For sealant - Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant
- the longer you leave it on, the better it works. I tend to use two coats. Once applied its best to be taken off within an hour. The other coat left on over night in the garage.

Wax - Pete's 53 is great. I use as a last stage product overtop two coast of Menzerna Color lock.

I am an enthusiast when it comes to detailing. I love the chemical guys line, but tend to use Wolfgang and Menzerna compounds. Pinnacle Clay is great and thats what I use now. ONR is always my go to car wash.

A detail for me looks like the following
- wash with ONR
- clay
-wash with ONR
- Compound
- Wolfgang Uber Compound - if bad
- Menzerna SF400 if just regular correction
- used with a PC7424 with Lake Country hydro Tech Cyan Pad
-Glaze
- Wolfgang Finish Glaze or Menzerna SF-4000
- used with a PC7424 with Lake Country hydro Tech Orange Pad
Sealant
- Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant - left to cure for at least an hour
- used with a PC7424 with Lake Country blue Pad
-Wax
- Menzerna color lock - 2 coats
used with a PC7424 with Lake Country red Pad
Topper - Pete's 53 - last step ( applied by hand )

Spray Wax - Wolfgang instant detail spritz to pick up any missed wax removal

The interior is all done with 303 Aerospace

I hope this helps. While this is overkill, I only do this 4x a year. Prior to, I just apply a nice glaze once a month and tend to use DuraGloss #952 as a maintenance shine product.

Isn't 4 times polishing a year too much for such precious thin clear coat we have on modern cars??? I thought every 2 year is recommended, every 1 year is fine, every 6 months is aggressive, and every 3 months is SPARTTTTTTTAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

It is way too frequently, which is why I asked the question.

With proper maintenance, the car shouldn't need to be polished more than once a year... And we're talking just a light polish like SF4000. Anything more and you're going to be getting dangerously thin after a while.
