Ya not bad. Easy way to change the look. Was that DIY spray can PD? What was that around the center cap from your pic?

Yup, i bought some spray cans of plasti dip from walmart. The texture around my center cap was from the peeling of the silver finish that i had on my wheels previously. It's part of the reason that i plasti dipped them in the first place. It did cover up the chipping, but you can still obviously see texture through it. Here's a pic of what it looked like before.

Oh I see that now. Thanks for sharing. I dipped my IS300 about 2 months ago. I have OEM wheels and have curb rash... The dip concealed it. Had my entire car and wheels dipped. Local shop did the job. Went from Absolute Red w/ Chrome wheels to Topaz Blue w/ Bronze wheels. Used DuraDip though instead.... smooth and satin finish. Has UV protection too. I'll have to get some pics off my other computer and post.

Wow nice! That looks awesome! Blue is a great color for that car. I'm sure that turns a lot of heads. Windows tinted slightly too?

Thanks!! This was a nice change. The first couple days I parked my car I couldn't find it because I was looking for a red car.... LOL. Yes, it gets noticed and turn heads. I live in Florida, so yes I have a slight tint. Florida can get hot. Because this is a Pearl blue, when in sunlight it has a nice sheen to it.

If you are still up to DIY your own car, let me know. I can give you some pointers or at least connect you with some dippers if you like.

Btw, you mention about doing white for your car I believe. If so, it is good to have a base color for white such as silver or gray. If DIY, you definitely want to spray test first not just for the correct color scheme but for also for getting use to how to lay down the coats using the spray gun. Let me know. Thanks.

i like the color choice on the is, ive always thought of dipping my wheels. Its a nice way of changing colors around without actually painting it or powder coating it.

Well, everyone has a different opinion. It is 100% removable, so even if I didn't like it i could take it off whenever. Plus that, it was only around $30 and a few hours of my time. I personally didn't like the outcome as much as i thought I would. Either way I'm going to leave it on for a year or so, then dip it a stock silver color, or light grey.

Yep. I agree. Thought you odd a good job. Like you said..... It's removable, so you change it when you are ready. If you are still interested with getting a spray gun and accessories etc, feel free to PM me if you want to connect and discuss further.
