I hand wash my car using 2 water bucket system with drying without rubbing with absorber both IS250 and IS350 on a weekly or biweekly basis. I wash less now to save water to save the drought in California.

I NEVER do the wash with the drive through because it will KILL the paint by creating so many swirls. I will NEVER let anyone EXCEPT true detailer professional wash my car because I'm afraid they will inflict swirl during their improper drying method.

You don't want to drive a 50k Lexus with bad paint conditions

If your worried about swirls, ditch the Absorer and buy a leaf blower to blow dry, then follow up with a good waffle weave drying towel.

I did try that but it doesn't work good in my case. There are still some water droplets that left on the paint. Also, it is super loud and kill my ears lol. May be i got the wrong one. Which model did you get?

Absorber is actually very safe on the paint because i only apply it on the surface and then LIFT it. I don't drag or rub it against the paint at all. Over 3 years, my car shows little to no swirl.

hand wash her once sometimes twice a week utilizing the GD method... be it with ONR or a spa bath with her fave car shampoo. i wouldn't care if there was a hand wash right next door that washed for free... not letting anyone touch my car.

Since I'm on my own well, I hand wash, two-bucket method, usually weekly during good weather and use a Laser Touchless Wash when the weather is bad. I follow every wash with a wipedown with UQD and then UQW to remove any waterspots and leave a fresh coat of sealant. Washing the car is like my therapy for the week.

a spa bath consists of lot and lots of foam and suds. pressure washer, foam cannon, wash bucket with lots of suds.... your choice of wash media. i use the Rethickulous MF towels to wash and the WW towels to dry, then hit her with the master blaster to get all the cracks and crevices.
