Default Good Dressing for covers/mat's

I need a good dressing to apply to my engine covers and mat's and maybe some of my engine hoses. Anyone have a good suggestion?

303 Protectant on rubber and plastic. NOT on floor mats they will be slippery.

I get the 303 Protectant. They make good stuff, and I use the carpet cleaner a lot (I use Prima Infinity on my tires, engine covers, etc.). But I'm trying to figure out why I care if the mats are a little slippery. I sounds like that should be a bad thing, but I'm not sure why. Does it make it more difficult or uncomfortable to use leverage on the brake or gas pedal? It's not like you're going to slip off the floor, and you aren't putting it on the pedals, right? Just curious what exactly the downside is.

Just as a rule of thumb, always consider the worst case scenario..... I don't dress rubber mats or any steering wheels just to be safe.

Since most of you guys are just working with your own cars, do as you please. For instance I have used 303 on my Weathertech mats and I thought it was fine, but it's a liability concern to do that for customers.

You just gave me a great idea to prank my girlfriend for scratching my steering wheel recently. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Zach,

Are your Weathertech mats Lexus approved...given the issues with some floor mats.

I found 303 too slippery on floor mats. I just use a bit of diluted opitimum tire gel on my weathertech mats to keep them from being dull.

Engine......Sonus makes a good spray on walk away engine dressing. I found meguires instant interior detailer worked on my floor mats. They looked clean and were not slippery at all.
